"I'm scared" I whispered

"Of course you are scared Caroline... you are not a doctor... you are just a seventeen years old girl and above all... you are human. You will take lives, but you will save others too" he said

"I'm not talking about the future" I whispered knowing he couldn't possible hear me

" I'm not either" he answered quietly

So he did hear me...

"You are afraid that the first life you're gonna take will be Natalie's" he said quietly and I nodded

"Even if that happens, it's not gonna be your fault... you tried and that's what really matters" he said and I nodded

"Thanks"

"Can I read anything?" He asked

"What?"

"Can you give me the book so I can read something" he explained

"I mean, everyday you are reading this book ... I'm very curious as to what it is about" he added

"Oh.. Yeah of course " I nodded and gave it to him

"Huh... William Blake" he chuckled

"What?" I asked

"Nothing is just that once I put a bet with your brother that you were into ... philosophy. I guess I was right" he smiled

"Whatever" I giggled

"So... the poison tree" he read

"Have you read it" he asked me

"Yes. It's one of my favourites"

"Really... then let's read it" he said and started

'The Poison Tree'

"I was angry with my friend;
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe;
I told it not, my wrath did grow.

And I waterd it in fears,
Night and morning with my tears.
And I sunned it with smiles,
And with soft deceitful wiles.

And it grew both day and night.
Till it bore an apple bright.
And my foe beheld it shine,
And he knew that it was mine.

And into my garden stole,
When the night had veild the pole;
In the morning glad I see;
My foe outstretched beneath the tree."

When he finished reading it he chuckled and turned the page. After some seconds he turned back to the previous page and looked at me

"Indeed that's a good one. I like it"

"Well it's not my favourite without a reason " I said and he laughed

"Here you go" he gave me the book and silence fell between us

"I should probably go and check Natalie" I said after a few seconds and stood up

"Ok good luck and Caroline" he said and I turned towards him

"Yes?"

"Don't be too harsh on yourself, in a situation like this you should be carefull" he said and I nodded

When I went in the cockpit Natalie had her eyes closed and Estelle was looking outside of the window

"Hey there" I whispered

"Oh hey Car" Estelle smiled

"You can go outside now" I said

"Thank god. I really have to go to the bathroom... see ya" she said and left

"See ya...."

"It's not your fault" Natalie whispered in a way that scared the hell out of me

"Nat?"

"Caroline... you do whatever you can... I know my situation isn't simple... I know you wanna save me but you have to understand, you don't have the solution to everything" she said and opened here eyes

Her eyes were red like she was really tired from crying and from staying awake

"You must be so tired... you have to relax and take a nap" I said

"I will ... but you have to take care of yourself too Car" she said

"I will Nat I will... don't worry about me really. I'm fine" I said and smiled

"Caroline you think you can fool us but you can't... if you want to help the others so much then help yourself first. Because if you aren't in a good situation how exactly do you think you can achieve it" she said and I let out a sight

"I know, you are right" I nodded

"I know I am-" she started saying but she suddenly stopped and screamed

"Nonoo Nat... Natalie what's going on. Nat stay with me, are you ok? Where do you feel the pain" I asked worried

"Leg .. my leg" she screamed and I run to see her wound

It wasn't like before... It was like it has opened more and it has turned a mix color of blue and purple

Come on... not again I thought to myself
