I just love Will's relationship with Halt. Halt may not show it but he love's Will. That is an indisputable fact and as for Will, I love how Halt's Peril Will was willing (see what i did there lol) to ride nearly nonstop just to save Halt's life.
Or in The Ruins Of Gorlan where Halt killed the second boar, saved Will and comforted his relieved but horrified apprentice.
Or in The Battle For Skandia Halt's first instinct is to get his young friends home but can't until the matter of a war is settled.
I could list more but you get my point. Will and Halt are just so damn fluffy!
