Chapter 21: This is not goodbye

"True friends are sometimes apart but, never by heart.

After the car ride, we came back to the dorm. Kate will be leaving in a couple of hours.

We went inside of the guy's dorm to see Kate and Yoongi talking on the couch.

Kate was in tears.

So I and Joon quietly went upstairs but still could hear their conversation.

"I'm sorry I have to leave soon," She says wiping away her tears.

"I'll be okay. You'll be back soon" Yoongi says as he hugs her.

"Aww, how romantic" I whisper.

"This isn't goodbye it sees you later," he says as he kisses her cheek.

"I better go get Ana," Kate says as she stands up and heads for the stairs.

I and Joon just race to his room and try to act as natural as possible.

"Ana?" Kate says as she stands in the doorway.

"Hey Kate!"

"Can we talk?" She says. I nod my head and follow her.

I followed her outside and we sat at the steps.

"Ana, I can't believe how far you have come in your Journey," she says.

"I can't either. After everything I have been through I never thought I would find him."

"I know I will be back here in a couple of years. But, promise me one thing..." I nod my head.

"Follow your heart Ana don't be afraid to show him you love him."

"I will Kate," I said hugging her.

"Also, tell him about your thing Ana you can't keep it from him."

"You will never know how much you love him until you are separated from him." She adds.

She says as I feel wetness on my shoulders.

"I'm sorry you have to leave Kate," I say now in tears.

"Don't worry I'll be back I promise."

"Don't forget about me" We turn around and see Kam in tears.

"We would never forget you, Kam," Kate says.

We all just had a big group hug.

Time skip~~~

We all talked for a while until it was time to take Kate to the airport.

"Don't forget about me Yoongi," Kate says as she hugs him.

"I will never." He says and you could see tears down his face.

She then goes to Joon and gives him a fist bump.

"Don't forget your promise?" she says.

"I won't," he says as he winks at me.

"What promise?"

"Don't worry about. Remember what we talked about Ana?" she says as she hugs me.

"Yeah"

"Good"

She then goes on to hug the others. She had told me and Kam she wanted to talk to us in private before she left.

"I'm gonna miss you guys," she says as she hugs us.

"Aww Kate," Kam says.

"Tell my dad and sister I said hi," I say.

"I will. Kam when are you coming back to America" Kate says.

"I'm actually gonna stay here for a while and study here." She says.

"Really?!" Both me and Kate say at the same time. She nods her head.

Soon Kates flight was announced for boarding.

"Looks like I have to go. I'll see you guys in a year." She says as she grabs her suitcase.

I gave her one last hug.

"Text me when you land," I say.

"See you later Ana," she says.

"See you later Kate."

I and Kate never say goodbye because they are too hard to say. Instead, we say see you later.

We all headed back to the dorms and decided to watch a movie since we have class tomorrow except for Kam.

"Let's watch a Comedy," Jin says as he grabs one of the movies.

"Yeah, today has been really emotional. I'll make some popcorn" I say as I head for the kitchen.

Soon my phone was dinging from a text I got. Maybe it's Kate.

Oh, how I was wrong.

Unknown: You Can't run away from your issues. They always come back.

I felt like I wanted to cry but I didn't.

I'm not that weak girl anymore. I have overcome a lot of things not for myself but for him.

I realized I learned how to love others but have I ever loved myself.

I already made my decision I will tell him tomorrow. I shouldn't be ashamed or scared anymore of my past.

I made the popcorn and put it into a bowl and made my way to the living room.

I could hear all the guys and Kam laughing at the movie. I couldn't help but smile at them.

They are my family.

Joon turned his head and saw me. He patters his hands on his lap.

I went and sat on his lap and snuggled up to him.

"What were you smiling about?" He says as he eats some of the popcorn.

"You"

"I smile a lot when I think about you too," he says.

"Wae! get a room," Tae says as he looks back at both of us in a weird way.

"Shut up Tae," Joon says as he throws one of the decorative pillows at him.

Kate was right I would miss him.
