▇▇ THE WATER DRIPS.

he's awake at 5AM. he doesn't know why. he
doesn't know why he's in his bathroom. the water
drips too loud, the sounds of the house settling
makes his skin crawl – each creak makes his heart
pound. (his heart stopped, but he didn't).

there's blood on his sink. blood on his walls, on
his ceilings, on his carpets. there's scratch marks
on his wooden door with black dripping from its
bruises, no evidence of what did it. it wasn't the
blood that was the problem, he thinks. it's where
it came from. it must've been his neighbor again.

then blood appears on his hands, all over his arms
and then its on his shirt. clean, white linen turned
to blood-stained threads. he's sure it's dripping on
his walls, flooding his floors, leaking through his
skin, drowning in red. he is only wearing blood.

1. Loss of memory.
+ he's sure he can't remember. he can't grasp
things like he used to. the mere concept of
thought was unattainable to him. the faceless
people he sees in his dishwater brown tinted
dreams. he assumes they were his friends,
his brothers. but he cannot remember.
