She blinked, slightly startled at the answer he provided, despite the buildup. Her skin tingled with his earlier words, "You've always counted." Not that she believed him, of course, but...

She laughed suddenly, embarrassing herself and surprising them both. "Well, you've got me," she countered awkwardly, cursing her countenance for betraying her as she felt the blush rise into her cheeks.

His smile was wan, almost sad, she realized, and for a brief moment she let herself wonder if he had meant everything he'd just said.

"I need you to kill me, Molly Hooper."
