I have a thought
Me at the bottom of a staircase
You're at the top
The more I step forward
The more your drawn back
A never ending stairwell
And an ever increasing gap
Maybe if I leap forward, you'll catch me before I fall
But maybe if I leap forward, you wont be there at all
Is my glass half empty?
Or is it half full?
In all honesty I don't care as long as the drink is with you
Your words can be chilling
But your smile keeps me warm
This thing between you and me I swear is a never ending storm
But with every great storm comes an even larger rainbow
At the end of this one
Something akin to the way stars glow
I hope...
