Matt's POV

Me and Jimmy each held one of Brian's arms over our shoulders as we lugged him up his driveway.

This guy is seriously a dead weight when he's drunk.

"What the fuck Gates!" I grumbled.

Jimmy just chuckled as we tried to open the door and not drop Brian at the same time.

"Is the floor supposed to be moving like that?" Brian slurred.

"Yeah buddy. It wouldn't seem so weird if you were sober." Jimmy laughed.

"What's the fun in that?" Brian slurred again.

Me and Jimmy both laughed as the door swung open and Brian fell forward on his face.

"Oh shit." Jimmy laughed.

Brian kept talking even though his face was in the ground.

It only made me and Jimmy laugh even harder.

Brian isabsolutelyhysterical when he's drunk.

I bent down a flipped Brian on to his back so it would be easier to pick him up.

"Vicious I tell you." He grumbled.

He threw his hands up in the air in frustration.

This isn't like Brian.

He's usually a really happy drunk.

And he doesn't usually get drunk by himself.

Which is why me and Jimmy were so confused when Johnny called us to pick Brian up cause he couldn't drive himself home.

"What's vicious?" I asked.

"Girls dude. Girls are justvicious." Brian said.

Me and Jimmy laughed.

"Should've known this was over a woman." I said with a smirk.

"Only a woman can make you drink yourself into depression." Jimmy said.

"Who's the lucky lady, Gates?" I asked.

"Shhhhhh. It's a secret." Brian said, covering his mouth.

Me and Jimmy looked at each other with skeptical looks.

"Asecret?" We both said at the same time.

Brian just nodded with a huge smile on his face.

He spread his arms and legs out and started making snow angels in the carpet.

"He's gonna get a nasty burn if he keeps that up." I said with a laugh.

Jimmy agreed and we both helped Brian up.

"Come on dude. Up stairs." Jimmy said.

"Up stairs? I don't want to go up there." Brian giggled.

"And why not?" I asked.

"The monster under my bed is gonna get me if you leave me there." Brian said with a serious look on his face.

Jimmy started cracking up and I tried not to laugh as Brian looked at me seriously.

"We'll make sure he doesn't get to you." I said.

"You guys are the best!" Brian yelled, throwing himself back.

"It's not a good idea to do that right now, bro." I said, getting a tighter hold on Brian's arm.

Brian leaned his head back and saw the stairs.

"Whoa." He said.

"Yeah. You don't want to take a tumble down those stairs." Jimmy said.

"That would be awesome!" Brian said excitedly.

"No dude. That would be painful. Come on. Here's your bed." I said, pulling his arm back to the front.

Brian threw himself face first into the mattress and started talking again.

I couldn't really understand it and it was all muffled.

"Come on, dude. You know we love you, but I don't really want to undress you." Jimmy laughed.

I agreed with a smile.

"Yeah, that would be a bit of a bummer if I had to see your ass." I chuckled.

"You know you like it." Brian laughed as he rolled onto his back.

He threw all the blankets on the ground and tried to kick off his shoes.

Guess he forgot they were laced on.

Jimmy caught one of his feet in his hands, and started untying the shoe lace.

It made it just a little bit harder because Brian never stopped kicking his foot.

"Brian, you're making this really fucking hard." Jimmy laughed as he dropped the foot and picked up the other one and started the process all over again.

"That tickles slim Jim!" Brian yelled.

Jimmy kept laughing as he threw the other shoe on the ground.

"He's just like a little baby." I laughed.

"Damn straight. It's actually really funny. But I'm tired, so I'd like to get home sometime tonight." Jimmy said.

"Tired my ass. You want to get home to Lia." I laughed.

"That too. I never said I wanted to get home to sleep. Just said I wanted to go home." Jimmy laughed.

"You are too much, Jim." I laughed.

"I know. But you love me anyway." Jimmy said.

"Yeah, that I do." I said.

"So how is Evie about you and Lia being together?" I asked as me and Jimmy undressed Brian to his boxers.

"She's really cool with it. She's happy. Lia told me that Eve is actually the one who pushed her to come and admit her feelings for me. Gotta love my sister." Jimmy said with a big smile of love and admiration for his baby sister.

"Gotta love her, she always was ballsy." I said with a grin.

"Yeah, wonder where she got that from." Jimmy chuckled.

I started laughing and Brian rolled over with a groan.

"I'll get some Advil for him." He said, walking downstairs.

I nodded in agreement and looked at Brian.

"Rest up, dude. Don't worry, this girl isn't worth it." I said.

"She is." Brian grumbled.

I was shocked for a moment.

I wasn't expecting him to say anything.

"What?" I asked.

"Eve is worth it." Brian groaned.

My eyes widened in shock.

"Eve?" I whispered.

Jimmy came pounding up the stairs and Brian shut his mouth.

"What's wrong?" Jimmy asked, as he looked at my face.

I looked down at Brian, and his eyes closed immediately.

"Nothing Jimmy. Give him the pills." I said, trying to keep all emotion from my voice.

Jimmy nodded and Brian swallowed down the pills.

"You'll feel better in no time." Jimmy said.

I looked down at Brian and his eyes are locked on mine.

"Yeah, I hope so." I said, staring him down.

I really hope things aren't the way they seem.

But the look in Brian's eye told me it's exactly as it seems.

Eve?

Holy shit.
