Aria's P.O.V

The remaining days of school flew by and eventually, we completed the last exam for the term and were all rushing to leave school. During the exam period, we began having study sessions with Maisey, Dylan and Tyler along with Caleb and I. We had some very useful study sessions and some very distracting ones. As I watched Maisey and Dylan, I definitely did feel some strange vibes coming off of them but what was confusing was that it seemed like Liam had fallen off the face of the earth.

I'm only just realising that I hadn't seen the boy for a long time. I made sure to ask Maisey after exams were over.

Maths paper three was the last exam and I couldn't have been happier. Caleb's interesting methods seemed to have worked wonders because after all three papers, I didn't think they went all that bad.

Having emptied my locker the night before, I headed straight out of school to meet Caleb by his car. After spotting him in the car park, I hurried over and noticed he had his back to me and was talking over the phone. I couldn't see the expression on his face but as I came closer, I noticed the harsh tone in his voice as well as how tense his shoulders seemed to be.

"Please tell me he's not going to go that far! Why can't he just leave her the fuck alone? He's obsessed with his fucking money and doesn't give a shit about who he hurts."

I raised my brows and slowed down as I neared. Who was he talking to and what exactly about? It sounded serious and by the things he was saying, it gave me an incredibly unsettling feeling in my stomach.

"Are you fucking serious!?" Caleb slammed his fist against the top of his car and I jumped in fright having not expected it and suddenly dropped my phone which I was holding in my hand. Gasping loudly, I bent down to immediately pick it up and was incredibly grateful it had landed on its back and hasn't cracked or gotten damaged. I turned it on to make sure it worked and when I looked up again, I noticed Caleb looking at me with an anxious look in his eyes.

"You okay?" He asked. I nodded slowly and bit my lip as he took a step towards me. "How long were you standing there?" Gulping, I decided I didn't want him to know I heard what he was saying.

"I just saw you punch your car. Are you okay? What happened?"

Caleb seemed to relax immediately and I knew that there was definitely something up now. He was hiding something from me and I needed to find out exactly what. I didn't want to jump to conclusions because the situation didn't make completely sense to me yet. I'll have to figure it out by myself and I had to do it secretly, without Caleb knowing but there was one other thing I needed to check.

"Can you...drop me off at Uncle Matt's house. I need to see him." I mumbled and Caleb nodded and smiled at me. He grabbed my hand and pulled my towards him and into a tight hug.

"How was the maths exam?"

"I thought it went pretty well." I said, trying my best to remain cool and act as if everything was fine. Caleb looked at me for a moment as if he seemed to know what was running through my mind but he burst into a smile and nodded at me.

"Same, I thought it was good." He opened my door for me and then closed it after I got in before walking over to the drivers seat before climbing in. After putting on some music, Caleb pulled onto the main road and was sat in silence. The air felt tense and we both seemed to feel a little uncomfortable. As I looked over at Caleb I could see that he was a slightly distracted. Something was obviously playing on his mind and I was guessing it must have been the phone call before. Deciding against asking him about it, I turned to look out the window as he drove to Uncle Matt's house.
