I sped through the lights trying to get to his house.
"Keith please! Answer me!" I said as i raced to his house.
I pulled up as i got out of my car. The rain pelted my skin as if it was trying to stop me.
I knocked on the door as i waited for an answer. I banged and banged and banged on the door.
No response..
I cried on the side walk as i realized he was gone. I got back in my car and peeled off.
From that day forward i never heard from him again.
I picked up the toys in her room while on the phone.
"Yeah girl, and then he gone have the nerve to say "im tripping." Like if anything youre bugging." My friend ranted.
"Be glad you gotta man." I mumbled.
"Awww, we gone find you someone girl." She cooed.
I shook my head as i stood up and walked to my laundry room.
"Girl, algee invited us to this party."
"Oh yeah? Whats the theme this time?" I said folding some of my clothes.
"Yes bish. Its a 60s type of thing."
"Aww, they was mad cute with they lil swing dresses." I laughed.
"Yes, girl. Maybe you could hook up with one of his friends." She said as i
"Um, no. Anyone whos a friend of algee can not talk to me."
"Girl, you want a man right?"
"I wouldn't mind one, i guess so."
"Ok then. Dont tell algee but-"
"Dont tell algee what?!" I heard him yell in the back.
"Nothing!" She said back. I could tell she was rolling her eyes.
I laughed at them two. They are perfect for each other.
I saw out of the corner of my eye, my babygirl running through the house in a fairy outfit.
"Bye girl, Algee tripping again."
"Bye boo, Hi Alkiseltzer."
"Shut up Yn!" Algee yelled.
I hung up as i felt 2 arms around my legs.
"Hi my mommy!"
"Hi my honey!" I said as i picked her up.
I kissed her cheek as i walked her into her room.
"Mommy?"
"Yes hun?"
"So.. theres this daddy daughter dance.. and.. everybody else has a daddy to go.. but.." she spoke as her lip quivered.
"Aw, baby come here."
"Why doesn't my daddy want me mommy?" She said sobbing on my shoulder.
"Oh, baby no.." i said crying. This always happens. She ask about her dad and i just freeze up.
"Baby, your daddy does want you.."
"Then why isnt he with me..?"
I started sobbing in my arms.
"Yn..?" I heard his voice.
I turned and to see the man that makes me and my daughter cry everytime.
