Eager to continue her book, she sat down against the tree stump like the day before and began reading.

She read with hesitance, feeling the tension flowing out of the book and surrounding her.

Even though this book was just a bunch of words on paper, she could feel the emotions of the characters that she had visualised as if they were real.

She had always loved that about books. All you needed when reading a book was an imagination and you could bring anything to life.

She was so immersed in her imagination that she hadn't seen a figure jog up to her.

"Hannah...hi!" He had said between breaths.

She sighed and reluctantly looked up towards the voice much deeper than her own.

"Hi Asher."

His smile faltered slightly at her disinterested tone, but he had decided to ignore it.

"I brought you an apple to apologise for yesterday. It most certainly was a tragedy."

She hesitantly reached for the apple with the most slightest of smiles.

If he had blinked he might not have seen it. But fortunately, he did see it and it had only made him smile brighter than before.

"Thank you."
