Molly's POV
Luke is passed out on the couch when I get back to the apartment. His long arms and legs are hanging over the edges, unable to fit on the tiny piece of furniture. I sigh softly to myself and go to my room. I'm in desperate need of a nap.
Sleep usually helps my migraines go away, and I can't ever hear people talking when I'm asleep. It's like my super hearing gets turned off. Sleep also takes away my guilty feelings for a while. I can forget about Drew, mum, dad, Luke, Felix, and everything else going on. Even my powers seem to just disappear while I'm sleeping. I smile to myself and flop backwards onto my bed. My eyes shut, and I'm out.
"What are you hiding, Molly?" Drew demands, her hands on her hips.
"Nothing," I lie, trembling. She frowns more, realizing that I'm going to have to be guilted into telling her.
"Come on Molly. We're twins. You can tell me anything. You can trust me," she persists, making me sigh.
"Fine," I give in. I move my arms in front of my body again, "When I went to get a textbook from the science lab closet yesterday, I accidentally spilt a bunch of chemicals on myself. Now this happens." Blue energy starts to flow around my arms and hands. Drew's jaw drops. "I can also do this now." I focus on the textbook sitting on our desk across the room. I will it to come towards me. It does, floating across the room and into my lap. "I can also hear really, really good now. Like, unnaturally good."
"You have superpowers, Molly!" Drew yells, hugging me tightly. My glowing arms brush against her skin. She goes rigid, then relaxes a lot. I panic and push her away from me, willing my arms to go back to normal.
"Drew?" I shout, "Drew? Are you okay?"
"That felt really good, Molly. Like weed, but better," she giggles, surprising me. I mean, the whole weed thing isn't exactly a shocker, but still. It's one of those things she never talks about, and I don't dare mention. She'd kill me if mum and dad ever found out about her recreational activities.
"What are you talking about?" I demand, scooting farther away from her. She's definitely high.
"Your powers, silly," my twin giggles, "The blue glow is like a drug." She laughs harder. "I want more."
"No," I deny, my throat dry.
"Yes," she snaps, her demeanor changing dramatically, "Or I tell everyone about your powers and what a freak you are."

"Hey Molls," Luke calls, making me jerk awake. I sit upright quickly, shoving my arms behind my back. "Sorry to wake you, but it's dinner time. I was thinking we could go out. There's a little diner nearby that I think you'd like."
"What do they have?" I reply, trying to calm my breathing. My heart races. I can feel the sweat on my hands.
"It's mostly a burger place. Trust me, it's really good," he assures me. I nod. "Well, go ahead and get ready. We'll leave in a few minutes. The guys are supposed to be meeting us too." I nod again. Luke smiles at me, then leaves the room, pulling the door closed behind him. I move my arms in front of me, starting at them. Normal. No blue. I lean my head back, unable to remove that memory of Drew from my head. I wish I hadn't told her. Or that I at least knew how to control my powers then to keep them on myself. If I had, then Drew wouldn't have gone power hungry and died.
