Molly's POV
"Get away from me!" A strained voice yells. I turn my head, curious. My feet move towards the source of the sound against my wishes.
"What's wrong, Felix?" A nasty voice taunts, "Are you gonna cry?"
"Leave me alone," the first boy, Felix, demands, his voice shaking. I peak around the corner and watch, my hands shaking as they curl into fists.
"God you're so pathetic. Why are you even alive? Your own father didn't want you." Felix's eyes go wide. The bully punches him in the head. Felix goes down to the ground. I grit my teeth together and pull my hood up before marching over there.
"Leave him alone," I command, not taking no for an answer. I can see the blue energy that's running up and down my arms and fists casting a blue glow on the wall. The older kids turns around.
"What the hell is wrong with your hands, dude?" He demands, sounding more nervous than angry. Instead of answering, I punch him in the head. He slinks down to the ground, knocked out. I take a deep breath, drawing the energy back inside of my body. I turn to leave.
"Hey wait!" Felix yells, getting up quickly, "What was that? Are you like a superhero or something?"
"Or something," I mutter, not in the mood for conversation.
"But you just saved my life! He's been beating me up since we were in diapers. I don't doubt that he would've actually killed me."
"You're welcome," I grunt out, still walking. Felix stops in his tracks. I speed up slightly.
"Do I even get to know your name?" He calls, his voice echoing off of the brick walls.
"No." I turn the corner and run, trying to move as silently as possible.

"Hey Molls," Luke greets, stopping me in the hallway, "Where have you been?"
"What are you talking about?" I question, playing dumb, "I've been in my room. I started to unpack, but fell asleep. Jetlag, you know?"
Luke nods, not looking very convinced at all, "I must've missed you when I came in earlier." I nod, my hands shoved into the pocket of the hoodie.
"Anyways, are you hungry? We've got some leftovers and ramen. I might be able to make something else, but I'm not sure."
"Ramen is good," I state, noticing just how awkward Luke is sometimes.
He nods, "Alrighty then. Do you wanna come to the kitchen too, or do you just want me to get you when it's done?"
"I'll go." He nods. We walk together in silence for a few moments.
"Are you excited to go to your new school and get a fresh start?"
"Not really."
"Oh come on, Molly. Yeah it sucks, but at least you get to start all over with a new set of kids. Back when I was still in school, I would've loved to just been able to start over."
"You wouldn't have met Calum and Michael if you did," I point out the flaw in his argument.
"That is true," he sighs, sounding defeated, "But if it wasn't for that detail, then I would've loved to have been able to start over at school." I roll my eyes and silently watch as he cooks our ramen.
