Midnight's POV

I woke up extra early this morning ready for school then trail of today huh I made breakfast and ate then got ready for SCHOOL not forest tranning so I wore any fine clothes I have I was really happy I went downstairs and then heard mom talk with someone so I stopped on my way down and took down my head slowly to hear the conversation

"Mamia star house if you don't give it to us today 5:00 we will burn this house down and maybe you with it" by hearing that I slowly went down stairs behind my mom

"P-please till 5:00 clock only isn't enough atleast 2 days"

"We gave you your time a long long ago so no 5:00 it is if you're late expect you and this house burnt down by 5:00" and so the men left the house without a word slamming the door behind them. my eyes widened as I asked my mom

"Mom what just happened what do they mean by they'll burn down the house? Dose dad know about this?...mom why aren't you answering?" I asked my mom in panic

"M-midnight, lili it's nothing to worry about you have other stuff to worry about they always say they'll burn down houses but they actually don't now go take your bag and head to school"

"Mom you know that if something is wrong I'm always here for help right you can always count on me you know"then my mom said in a British voice to lighten up the mood

"Oh! Would you look at that your gotta be quick sweetie pie oh I was way worried I did not notice your dressed anyways you gotta head early to school you know what they say the early the better now chop chop!!" My mom took my bag and stuffed my books inside and pushed me out I blinked and went down the roads on my way to school I'm really worried about mom and that creepy guy I should really check on her later the guy said he'll be there at 5:00 but it's impossible to reach at 5:00 sharp so I'll check on mom at 5:10 when the trail end yeah that must be a good idea yeah as I was thinking I saw the school and there was no one but me and the teacher I bowed a little and greeted

"Good morning Mrs Smith"

"Oh good morning midnight can you help me clean the class before the students come to school"

"Oh sure miss smith"

After school I went to the village court for trail I entered the room as witness.

The trail took a bit longer than I expected we the judge made his decision and the woman was banned from the forest forever I walked out of the court and was heading home but then I saw a smoke coming from the direction of our mountain my eyes widened as I saw the smoke and raced quickly up the mountain when I arrived I saw the man from before on his motorbike he smiled at me and rode away I turned to our house that was set on fire and my mom was in there with a knife in her head I sat on my feet crying on my laps Lowey approached me and said

"I contacted father he said he'll be here in a minute we can go back home with him because mom isn't here and it's his responsibility as a father to take us" I was shocked for a moment

"What why can't just stay here with us me you and everyone else in the village I can't lose Chris or anyone else do you know if something happens to them I won't be there to help I can't leave I could have been there for m-mom but I wasn't and I don't wanna lose them too"

"You know what mom would say if she was here"

"Don't be sad for me because im gonna shove foot up your ass" we both said and started laughing I headed down to the village and said bye to everyone I promised Chris that once I return I'll be better as soon as we were done dad came yup same old dad black hair grey eyes tall man black suit black pants white shirt he approached and he said

"Ready to go mid night I'm sorry for your mom's lo-" I cut him before he could finish

"It's alright dad mom would have wanted us to stay cheerful no matter what right" I said smiling brightly I saw father, sadness in his eyes but he smiled back and said

"You've grown to be a strong woman like your mom shall we go"

"Yes. Yes we shall" we entered the limo and I looked back at the village everyone else was smiling and waving goodbye I smiled and waved back goodbye ok I know your asking how are you in a limo? My father is a billionaire and he helped build the village road s rivers houses wall for protection you're asking then why are you living in the village? Because never liked the life in city so she wanted to change a bit so that's why father let me and mom live in the village huh sue gonna miss life in the village
