Reflection

I swear the more I write this story the more fun I have with it. Can you dig it? But anyway lets just dive tf in the story :)

(Y/N POV)
Me and Zorome were skipping stones while the others are asleep. We've been here for a while until I hear Zorome yawn. "I'm tired dont you think we should head back?" He says. "You go a head I'll be there when you wake up." I say. He nods and turns to leave. I stop skipping stones and I step foot in the water and I start to swim. Once I felt comfortable enough I sighed and allowed myself to sink into the water. I close my eyes as I become completely submerged and I open my eyes again. It's strange to look at the night sky through water. As I float a feeling of tranquility comes to me as I feel at peace. I allow my thoughts to play out in my mind. My arrival, Zero Two's kiss, us in stretilizia, Ichigo, Goro, Hiro's death, the fight against Miku and Zorome. All the thoughts flow inside my head forming questions for me to only have one response to it...why am I here. I felt the need to breathe so I resurfaced from the water and took a deep breath. When I did I looked down at my reflection. It was me but it was before I came to the garden. It was me when I had my own squad. My hair was pulled back in a pony tail and some of my hair was down and I looked goofy. "Hey" the reflection said. I look down on it and answer it with a "what". "Whats the matter?" It continued to speak. "What would your teammates say if they saw you like this right now?" It says. "They're gone so why would it matter." I say as memories flood back making my head hurt. Its of me and my old squad. A guy I called Natsu because that was the only named he liked that I called him. His hair was brown and those amber eyes of his still haunt me along with his partner Kuro who's hair was jet black. She was loud and obnoxious but thats what made her and Natsu go together. Then there was Tatsumaki. A timid guy nonetheless with his green eyes and his partner I called Chihiro. She was shy but could take control when necessary. A blonde with brown eyes...strange but she was the peace keeper of the squad but we loved her for it. And my original partner... "HIBIKI YOU IDIOT!" "YOU KNOW (Y/N), YOUR'RE SOMETHING SERIOUS!!" Hibiki laughed. "Ok ok guys bring it in" Chihiro says. We all sit at the table and begin talking and eating. Once we finish we play spoons. One by one each player loses until me and Tatsumaki are left. I look him dead in the eyes as he shivers. I smirk "well Tatsumaki, whats it gonna be" I say. He panics and quits and I laugh. "STILL NUMBER ONE!" I yell. And we all laugh except Tatsumaki who's crying in the corner.
-Time skip-
"WE NEED TO FINISH THIS NOW" Natsu yells. "DAMN STRAIGHT" Hibiki replies. We attack the klaxsosaurs head on and soon they're defeated but something is wrong... Natsu is a little too quiet. When we make it back we discovered what happened. His body was under too much pressure that he died and Kuro was on the verge of death. She survived but with Natsu gone she became depressed and isolated herself from everyone until one day some men with guns came and got her telling us they're taking her to the garden. We simply nodded and she left never to be seen again. We each cut a finger and streaked the blood across a rock with Natsu's code number on it. As time went on we treated everything like it was normal but then Chihiro became sick and Tatsumaki would have breakdowns because he was scared. She got sicker and sicker until I being the leader called a meeting in Chihiro's room. She was breathing hard and was sweating too. "Hey Chihiro...how are you" I say grabbing her hand and holding it. "(Y/N) is that you?" She asks with a faint smile. "The one and only" She giggles while Hibiki wipes her forehead. "Look at Hibiki being nice for once" she says. "Shut up im only doing this because Tatsumaki was nervous to come in" he was about to continue to speak when Tatsumaki comes in. "S-sorry im late" he says taking a deep breath. His voice is shaky. "Tatsumaki come here" Chihiro orders. "Now that you're all here I just wanted to say thank you for the opportunities you guys have given me. You're so special to me that you don't even know." "Chihiro don't talk like that" Tatsumaki laughs. "You're going to be fine right Hibiki? (Y/N)?" I remain quiet while Hibiki gulps hard. "Tatsumaki.." Chihiro's voice is faint. "I dont have much time left so I wanted to tell you that I love you and I wish we could have spent more time together..." I grab Tatsumaki's hand and put it with Chihiro's. "Chihiro don't talk like that please" Tatsumaki laughed. Chihiro is silent... no one moves. "DONT LEAVE PLEASE" He screams and cries. Hibiki turns his head and I close my eyes and turn and leave. I was so upset I began to run and cry but it was no use. Chihiro wasn't coming back. Once again we use the rocks respectfully. Tatsumaki decided to leave but not the way we expected. He poisoned himself and died. Me and Hibiki were the only ones left. "Hibiki..." I call him and we have a talk. "Split up?" He says. "We dont have anybody else Hibiki." I say. "Its for the best" "EVERYONE IS GONE STOP BEING SELFISH YOU CANT LEAVE ME BEHIND!" "CANT YOU SEE THIS IS FOR THE BEST YOU IDIOT THERE IS NOTHING LEFT FOR US HERE." I yell. He remains silent. "Fine. But promise me you'll stay alive and we'll pilot for old times." He says. "Deal" I say. A few days later we part ways. The last thing I remember is that I was in the garden and my head was hurting. I snapped out of my thoughts and realized I was crying. I look down at my reflection again but Hiro is also there. "So (Y/N), what will it be?" The reflections ask simultaneously. "I'll treat these guys like its my last time seeing them!" I yell out. They both smile and I get out the water watching them fade away. I begin to walk back to the house as the sun comes up. Ive been out here all night. But thats what I needed. I know what I need to do now. I'll protect these guys with my life. It'll be different this time. I smile as tears still fall from my eyes. I go to my room and open the window as the wind blows my hair back. See Hiro... I got it under control. I just needed time to reflect.
