Bio: Yoshis are a type of dinosaur native to Yoshi's Island and were actually responsible for keeping Baby Mario safe while trying to send him to his parents. This particular Yoshi is the only one capable of understanding the language of humans and has been Mario's friend since his adventures on Dinosaur Island. He has proven competent enough to keep up with his friends and patient enough to be an extremely good combatant.

Special Moves:
-Egg Bomb: Yoshi pulls out an egg and lobs it at the opponent, the egg exploding in a firework-esque explosion on contact. This can be combo'd up to three times.
-Tongue Catch: Yoshi lashes out with his tongue and, if he hits his opponent, they will be pulled into his mouth. He will then chew them up a bit and lay a giant egg, which hatches to reveal them flat-out on the ground. If his tongue lands on a projectile attack, Yoshi will swallow it and spit it back out at his opponent.
-VRRRRROOM!: While in mid-jump, Yoshi will rapidly move his legs in a running fashion to simultaneously propel himself higher and damage any enemies if they're too close to him.
-Ground Pound: Yoshi jumps into the air, spins vertically a few times, then slams into the ground and his opponent if they're underneath or just next to him. This can also be used in midair, which he will simply rocket down.
-Egg Shell: Yoshi briefly envelops himself in a giant egg that can momentarily protect him from harm.
-Egg Roll: Yoshi envelops his entire body in a giant egg, then rolls forward to slam into the enemy.
Throws
FORWARD: Yoshi lashes out with his tongue, swallows his opponent, then chews them up a bit before spitting them back out.
BACKWARD: Yoshi trips the opponent with his tail, then hip-drops on top of them before springing off.
Super Moves:
-Super Dragon: Yoshi gains wings and a fiery aura. In this state, he can fly around the arena and spit fireballs. It only lasts a few seconds and does not render him invulnerable.
-Yoshi Rainbow: Yoshi headbutts his opponent, then points in the "charge!" fashion. A series of multicolored Yoshis (including the one and true) stampede all over the opponent, then all jump into the air, take an egg of their respective color and throw it at the opponent, leaving a rainbow aura in their wake. The eggs, on contact with the opponent, explode in their respective colors.
FATALITIES:
-Ravenous Appetite: Yoshi lashes out with his tongue and latches onto the opponent's foot, dragging their legs into his mouth before biting down HARD and severing their legs just below the knee. Shrieking in pain, the opponent tries to crawl away only for Yoshi to catch them on his tongue and draw them in up to their chest. With a "crunch", they're bitten in two again. Yoshi swallows the last chunk of body, then ejects three eggs, which crack open to reveal three blobs of flesh, blood, and body parts.
-Metal Eggroll: Yoshi spots a giant, metal Shy Guy and swallows it whole, laying a massive metal egg. He lobs it at the opponent, who makes a run for it, but trips. As they turn over in an attempt to get up, they scream as the massive egg steamrolls over their legs. They continue screaming until the egg rolls over their chest and eventually their head. The camera then pans to their flattened remains, surrounded by bloodstains, crushed limbs, and fragmented skull (their hands and feet occasionally twitching).
Intro: A giant, spotted egg falls from the sky, shakes, then shatters to reveal Yoshi, who does a happy dance.
Outro: Yoshi emits his iconic laugh, then twirls around twice and gives the "V" sign.
Stage: Yoshi's Island

Prologue: Yoshi was confused. Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach had been gone for a while now and he was starting to grow concerned. He missed his buddies and, honestly, who could blame him?
On arriving at Peach's castle, the last place both were he had seen them, Yoshi tilted his head at just what was in the gardens. It was an odd portal of sorts. Unfamiliar scents emitted from the portal, but so too were those of the missing trio, so Yoshi entered in pursuit of their scent and found himself in the Death Battle Arena. After being told he would have to compete after entering, Yoshi shrugged and continued his search for his friends, hoping to find them somewhere in this world.
Rival Cutscene: (have to tell this and Riptor's cutscene in story format as the two don't have any dialogue outside SFX)
Yoshi was wandering through a jungle in this odd world of the Death Battle Arena, an obliviously-happy grin on his face. So far, the opponents he had faced weren't that tough. It just took a little patience and quick thinking to take care of 'em, that was all.
As Yoshi wandered through the jungle, he didn't notice a thick, scaly tail hanging from the treetops, flexing anxiously. He DID, however, stop in his tracks when an unfamiliar scent wafted into his nostrils.
Yoshi sniffed furiously, trying to place just what the scent was and where it was coming from. Wherever its source was, it was close. VERY close.
Something then dropped on Yoshi's nose, catching the dinosaur's attention immediately. He crossed his eyes to look at it: a small droplet of a greenish-yellow...drool of some kind. Another drop accompanied the last one and Yoshi, suddenly trembling and dreading just what the source of this stuff was, looked upward.
He was met with Riptor, the cybernetic dinosaur coiled to spring from the branch of a tree. Yoshi could only yelp in fright as Riptor sprang, but came to his senses in time to spring backward mere milliseconds before Riptor hit the ground, jaws snapping shut on thin air. Riptor followed up with a whirl of her body that brought her tail smashing into Yoshi's midsection and sent the little dinosaur tumbling backward.
Riptor sprang again with a snarl, but Yoshi had gotten back to his senses and produced an egg that he tossed at the Ultratech experiment's face. It exploded like a firework, stunning the beast with an agitated growl, and gave Yoshi enough time to jump into the air, stomp the beast's head, and spring off to give himself some distance.
When Riptor regained her sight, she turned to see Yoshi with his eyes scrunched and attempting some kind of high-pitched snarl. Riptor answered with one of her own, then crouched, poised for attack...
Ending: Well, Yoshi did find Mario and friends in time and managed to help both of them get out alive. Upon winning the tournament, Mario and Peach were eternally grateful to Yoshi for helping them out and impressed with his loyalty. As such, he was made the official third hero of the Mushroom Kingdom, right alongside Mario and Luigi. The little dinosaur smiled, knowing he wouldn't have it any other way.
