The Love Potion

"Okay, so...why exactly am I here again." Harry asked his life-long best friend Hermione Granger, as he sat in her office 

"For a check-up." she said "Kingsley tells me that you work yourself to the brink of insanity every week and as a healer, I need to make sure you're alright." 

Harry rolled his eyes. "I'm not insane, Hermione." he said causing her to laugh 

"Oh, you were always insane." she said "But I just need to make sure, as your best friend and healer, that you are perfectly healthy." 

"Okay then what about you?" Harry asked and suddenly Hermione's face got pale "As your best friend I need to make sure you're alright as well, don't I?" 

Hermione shook her head "Today's appointment is about you." she said, though that didn't stop him 

"Well, at least tell me why you broke things off with Ron." Harry said almost desperately, but before she had time to answer another Healer walked into her office 

"Granger, these are the tests." he said and placed them on the desk in front of her 

"Oh, you really do think I'm mental don't you?" Harry asked, though he was smiling 

"For any potions that may have been slipped your way. It's dangerous being an auror, you know." she said 

"Believe me, I know." he said, making Hermione laugh as she reviewed the paperwork, though her smile quickly disappeared as her eyes narrowed on the paper

"Harry, how are things going with you and Ginny?" she asked, sounding worried which Harry immediately noticed

"Everything's great. My feelings have never changed since fifth year. Why?" he asked, but Hermione shook her head 

"Please tell me." he persisted but right as she opened her mouth to explain, Ginny walked in 

"Hey, love." she said placing a hand on his shoulder "I heard you were at St. Mungo's and I wanted to make sure your alright." 

Hermione glared at her. "You mean make sure he didn't find out?" she said boldly 

"I have no idea what you're talking about." Ginny replied, trying her best to sound confident but it was obvious she was becoming anxious 

"W-What's going on?" Harry asked, looking back and forth between the two girls, but neither payed much attention 

"Ginny step away from him." Hermione ordered, giving her the most intimidating glare Harry had ever seen 

"Come on Harry, we're leaving." was Ginny's response and she grabbed his wrist and made an effort to leave but he stayed where he was. 

"Not until I know what the two of you are talking about." He said 

Hermione laughed. "Looks like you didn't give him a strong enough dose today." she said 

"Dose of what?" Harry asked "Ginny, what aren't you telling me!" he yelled, his anger causing her to flinch, yet she hadn't answered so Hermione decided to speak up. 

"She's been giving you a love potion. I don't know how long it's been going on for but the tests indicate that it's been in your system for a while now."

A/N:

OMG a new book! I've really been dying to write another Harmione fanfic but i wanted an actual idea and the plot at least some-what thought out, so that's why it took a while. 

I decided to go with the idea that Ginny slipped Harry a love potion because it's been a theory for a while, and honestly I find it hard not to believe that she didn't slip him a love potion. I mean Harry had never payed her much mind and then Ginny finds out about the love potion at her brothers' shop and suddenly Harry 'realizes' he loves her??
