I reached for the bowl that lied on the top shelf of the cabinet. Stretching my limbs as much as I can to reach it. Which didnt work out well. I feel something pushing against my butt as a caramel stained arm reached over me and grabbed the bowl.

I turned around and saw Donald.

"T-thanks" I stated aloud.

"No problem" he said as he opened up the refrigerator to grab a bottle of water and left. I exhaled. Its been 3 months since I joined the creative arts club and Donald having to be nice to me. What can I say he's not that bad.

I grabbed a hold of my bowl and grabbed the corn flakes and milk and swiftly made me a bowl of cereal. I've been getting used to the schedule around the house. Ms.DeGrate leaves in the morning come back around the evening time and Mr.DeGrate comes home late around 10 or 11.

If I was Ms.DeGrate I would've thrown a whole fit but aye that's not my man. I grabbed my bowl of cereal and headed back into the living room joining everybody in front of the TV screen. Mary and Kci had some shit going on she didn't want to tell nobody but it was obviously noticeable.  Dalvin and Tionne was dating. They were cute and freaks too be freaking everyday Ms.DeGrate leave the house.

"Now why dat dumb ass bitch walk up in there" Lisa said to the Tv.

Causing us to laugh. "Exactly hear some shit and think you supposed to follow the sound" I included.

"White people shit" Dalvin added.

"True" Donald said I watched as he
brought his water up to his mouth.

He began to gulp away. Damn now I'm thirsty.

I felt Chilli nudge me and give me a stank face.

"What" I say furrowing my eyebrows. She just rolled her eyes and started at the tv.

"Nothing" she plainly said.

A nasty performed across my face and I felt my beeper vibrate. I finally got me job to pay for my own things I really didn't feel comfortable with Ms.DeGrate my things. It made me feel like a free loader.

I took one last bite of my cereal and sat it down getting up.

"Where you going" Lisa asked.

"Outside real quick I'll be back" I said as I made my way across the living room and to the door. I opened it and saw Tyrin jogging over.

"Wassup T" I asked him.

"There's something I been meaning to ask you but I really don't know how to ask you" he said licking his lips looking nervous as his hands slapped together everytime he talked he looked everywhere but me.

"And that is" I asked him getting impatient as I leaned my body on the railing.

"Umm shit w-w-would you like t-

I cut him off by making him look at me.

"Eye contact sir" I said as he grinned and cleared his throat.

"You wanna go out with me tommorow night you know just me and you we can go to the movies or go cart riding and then just chill" he said smiling nervously.

I analyzed his chocolate skin and looked him up and down observing his oversized blue shirt and shorts with a thin chain that hung around his neck.

"Why not" I smiled.

He smirked.

"Aight I'ma page you to let you know when I call you tonight it might be late" he said looking around again.
