It's not just Scorpius and Albus, the whole Hogwarts population probably noticed Draco Malfoy's sudden closeness with the golden trio.It started with only Harry first, but as time went by, they saw the Slytherin Prince hanging out with both Hermione and Ron as well.
It was quite a surprise for everyone, specially for Scorpius and Albus themselves.
Scorpius and Albus sat close together in the Great Hall, they made sure to sit way far from the Golden Trio who now seems to have another member.
"Dad even sat with them. He's eating on the Gryffindors' table!" Scorpius told his bestfriend.
"They can't even stand each other on our time," Albus replied as he take a bite out of his food, "Not even Uncle Ron or Auntie Hermione."
Scorpius turned to Albus, "Al, what's happening?" he asked, tone sincere and worried.
Albus turned to Scorpius as well, "I honestly have no clue."
Their little conversation was cut short when both boys felt a cold hand on their shoulders.
Both were really startled so they can't help but utter a sudden yelp, specially when they saw that the hands belong to none other than Proffesor Snape.
Before they could even say anything, Snape shushed them with just a single look.
"My office. Now," was all what Snape said before going on his own and leaving the boys behind.
Albus and Scorpius shared matching confused looks at first, before casually following the Head of Slytherin.
"Well that was quite a show," Ron said when the two boys had exited the Great Hall, "Pretty sure everybody saw that."
"What is Snape's business with them?" Harry asked.
"Have an idea, Malfoy?" Hermoine asked, looking at the blond boy.
"None." Draco simply replied, "He's my Godfather, why would he hide something from me? He knew how interested I am about those boys, why would he keep them to himself?"
The four were all silent for a moment.
"Well another question left unanswered, how about we just write that down and call it a day? It's late." Ron said.
"Ron's right, everyone's heading at their common rooms right now." Hermione agreed.
"I say we follow them." Harry suddenly suggested.
"There you go again with your half-baked ideas and your poor decision making." Draco subtly said.
Harry kicked him under the table, which caused Draco to suddenly yelp in pain. It's not long after he glared daggers at Harry.
"Watch your mouth, you're hurting my feelings." Harry said.
Draco didn't know how to react. Perhaps he was being too rude?
"Sorry... I can't help it, teasing you is in my blood." Draco only replied.
"Fine, apology accepted. I'm sorry I kicked you."
"It was my fault, I'm sorry I was too rude."
"No, it's my fault I shouldn't have suggested such a stupid idea."
"No!! It's my fault for thinking it was stupid."
"Okay stop," Ron cut in between Draco and Harry's little conversation, "If we're going to follow those boys we need to do it now."
"So you guys will join me?" Harry asked with a smile.
"Of course, we're a team." Hermione smiled back.
"Harry and I can do it ourselves, you two can rest if you want." Draco suddenly said.
"I thought it was a stupid idea?" Harry asked Draco.
"And I say a lot of stupid things so what?" Draco replied, "My point is, let's just do it ourselves. The two of us. Granger and Weasley helped us enough already, this is our problem to begin with, not theirs."
Harry was hesitant at first before replying, "Fine. Just us then."
"Harry are you sure?" Hermione asked.
"Draco's got a point, it's our own little problem. You guys helped enough... Thank you," Harry said, showing his bestfriends a reassuring smile.
"Let's go Mione, let's let them have their little alone time." Ron whispered to the girl.
"What are you--?" Hermione was cut short when Ron stood up from their sit.
"Shall we go then?" Ron asked with a wink.
Although still hesitant, Hermione decided to trust the Ginger-head boy.
"Fine. We'll see you two in the morning," Hermione said, standing up as well.
"Of course." Draco replied, while Harry did a little wave.
After they shared their goodbyes, Hermione scooted closer to Ron to whisper something to the Weasley.
"I'm not sure what just happened, but I'm getting a lot of ideas." Hermione whispered.
Ron chuckled, "You'll catch up Hermione, there's nothing you can't figure out after all."
Going back to Harry and Draco, who was now left alone at the Great Hall, Harry turned to the blond boy with a shit eating grin on his face.
"Did you just say that because you want them to rest, or is it because you want to be alone with me?" Harry asked wriggling his eyebrows.
Draco felt his cheeks heating up, but he decided to cover it up by rolling his eyes and shoving Ron's half eaten pie on Harry's face.
"Sod off Harry," Draco said.
"You git!" Harry said, taking his glasses off, "Sometimes I remember why I hate you so much." Harry said as he cleanse his face with the sleeves of his robes.
"The feeling's mutual." Draco simply replied.
"You're lying, I know you love me."
"I can literally kill you in ten different ways, wandless."
"But you won't cause you love me."
"Where did you gain this sudden confidence?"
"Probably from your love."
"Fuck you, Harry."
Harry only laughed at that.
