"So you're sending me to live with my uncle that didn't even know I existed because you want me to have a normal teenage life?" I asked Sam looking at him in disbelief.
"Yes, I already called him and told him that his sister that was shunned died and has a daughter that had nowhere to go and he was confused to say the least but said he'd take you in." Sam explained and I felt betrayed to say the least.
"What's his name?" I asked looking at the table to stop myself from crying.
"Derek Hale." Sam answered.
"Right so on the last week of break your sending me to live with someone who could be a murderer or rapist. And sending me to a highschool that I don't even need to go to because I graduated at age 12 then graduated collage at 14. Am I getting this right?" I asked looking at him annoyed.
"Don't look at me like that it was Dean's idea." Sam sighed.
"Yes but you are my guardian you could have said no but instead you're sending me away." I snapped getting up.
'Everybody leaves me or abandons me.' I thought to myself as I walked to my room to pack I guess.
~~~~~
"You ready?" Stiles asked looking at me.
"Do I have a choice?" I asked sarcastically as I put my helmet on.
"I guess not." He whispered obviously upset about something. "Just follow me. I'll lead the way." He said sending me a smile. I nodded and mounted my bike as he got in his Jeep before he started driving. I kicked off and followed him all the way to Beacon Hills, California.
~~~~~~
I pulled up to the Hale house that Derek lives in. I got off my bike and watched as he walked out of the house that needed work. He walked over to me and I took my helmet off waving my hair about watching as it turned white. He got over to me and gave a stressed smile.
"You must be River." He said holding out his hand.
"Hello." I said taking his hand and shook it only for us to give a confused look at each other. "You felt that too and I'm not going crazy again?" I asked looking back at our hands.
"You mean the spark?" He asked and I nodded, "I felt it but I only remember one person I got that with and that was my older sister, Anastasia." He breathed out.
"Well from what Bobby told me that was my mom." I whispered before pulling my hand away and grabbing my duffel bag on the back of my bike.
"I like your bike." He said.
"Thank you the man who took me in taught me to ride one at a young age." I said smiling at the memory of Bobby laughing as I tried to turn on a motorcycle for the first time.
"If you don't mind me asking when did my sister die?" Derek asked.
"I believe I was three or four." I answered following him to the house. "Do you know why she was shunned from your family?" I asked.
"She wasn't a werewolf she was born something else. Something stronger and my family saw her as a threat and banished her." He answered.
"Do you know what she was?" I asked looking down at the scare on my wrist.
"No, all I know was she was powerful yet gentle and loved to much that she would die for anyone even if she didn't know them." Derek said smiling at little at a memory I guess. "You know I remember when she called and told me she was pregnant with you she sounded so scared but so happy and she told me she got new powers that she thought would transfer to you once you where born like that little trick you did with your hair yeah she could do that along with other things." Derek hummed.
