Peter had infiltrated the group that was going to see Captain America. It took two years of working for a man who would become the U.S. Senator and maybe a little bit of subliminal messaging, perfected by peter, Irene, harry, and Ned, as well as forged papers. That man was Mr. Brandt. Peter was in a car as the senators clumsy and intelligent right hand Joseph Wood.
"Ugh... senator brandt? Where are we going?" Peter Asked.
"A top secret labs that you must never talk about Joseph." Senator Brandt answered. Peter then stuck close to the senator for the rest of the time. They walked into what seemed like an ordinary shop. An old lady stood behind the counter. With peters spider sense enhanced senses he could tell the woman had a automatic gun underneath the counter. She got up and walked forward.
"Wonderful weather this morning? Isn't it?" She asked kindly.
"Yes. But I always carry an umbrella." The senator said. The woman smiled and walked back to the counter and pressed a secret button button allowing them inside. Once inside the secret lab they walked into what seemed to be a screening room.
"Senator. Might I ask what's going on?" Peter Asked.
"Who's this?" Asked a man in a colonel uniform.
"This is Joseph Woods. He works for me. Don't worry I trust him." The senator said. The colonel put out his hand and peter shook it.
"For a string bean you got quite a grip." He Said.
"I exercise a lot." Peter Said. Then came in Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter. Steve then went down to the chamber. Soon the process began. Erskine grabbed the mic and flicked it.
"Can you hear me? Is this on? Ladies and gentlemen, today we take not another step towards annihilation, but the first step on the path to peace. We begin with a series of micro injections into the subjects major muscle groups. The serum will cause immediate cellular change. Then to stimulate growth the subject will be saturated with vita rays." Erskine explained. Steve then got a penicillin shot.
"That wasn't so bad." Steve said.
"That was penicillin." Erskine Said. He paused. "Serum infusion in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1." Erskine counted. Someone then flipped a switch and several pads with needles went down onto Steve and injected the serum. Steve closed his eyes and groaned in pain then his eyes shot open. "Now mr. Stark." Erskine Said. Stark pulled a small lever which made the table Steve was on turn into a small personal chamber. A scientist connected a tube to the back of the chamber. "Steven? Can you hear me?" Erskine Asked.
"It's probably too late to go to the bathroom, right?" Steve asked.
"We will proceed." Erskine Said. Stark then began to work by twisting a dial. He then put on a set of shades and started twisting a wheel. As he twisted the wheel the chamber window began to light up. He then began to call of the percentage. The light was soon blinding. At seventy percent Steve began to yell in pain.
"Steven! Steven! Steven!" Erskine yelled as he banged on the chamber. At the same time Peggy was yelling as well.
"Shut it down!" She yelled several times.
"Kill the reactor, mr. Stark! Turn it off! Kill it! Kill the reactor!" Erskine ordered.
"No!" Steve yelled grabbing everyone's attention. "Don't! I can do this!" He yelled. Everyone looked at the chamber. Mr. Stark then moved back to the wheel and began turning it.
"Eighty. Ninety. That's one hundred percent!" Stark Called out. After a second the entire lab began to short circuit and overload as sparks flew all around them scaring everyone. The light in the chamber then died as it powered down.
