Everyone stayed rooted to their positions, none daring to answer the door.

"Pequeño!" The nurse called from downstairs, "Will you get the door, please?"

Despite the tense situation, Hoseok snickered out.

"Who knew the biggest flirt in Seville was a mama's boy at heart?" He mused, booping Jihoo's little nose.

"Shut up," Jungkook seethed, colour staining his olive-skinned cheeks as he stood up from the bed, cutting a glance at the girl beside him.

On an inner instinct he couldn't decipher, he quickly brushed the back of his hand against Aeri's cheek.

Feeling the icy skin, he replaced the current cloth, quickly drenching the new one in hot water before wrapping it up, gently resting it upon her forehead.

Jungkook ignored the colder gaze Yoongi sent from the former's actions, instead saying, "Keep checking up on her. I'll be right back."

He didn't listen to the response as he stalked out the room, going down the immaculate stairs and out into the courtyard.

Stopping before the door, he calls out, just in case, "Who is it?"

Please don't let it be—

"Namjoon! I need to speak with you!"

Jungkook's shoulders slumped.

Fixing the lock, he barely opened the door before the bar owner burst straight in, looking around frantically.

The boy took a step back, closing the entrance as he asked, "What's the great rush, Namjoon?"

He didn't even look at him, head bobbing to the kitchen, the door leading to the bedrooms, the open windows. "I, uh—"

His hand went to his dishevelled hair, fingers running through the silver locks. "Aeri. Where is Aeri?"

The way he said her name struck a deep chord within the boy.

It wasn't jealousy, surprisingly. The way his hair erected at the back of his neck indicated something else entirely, the way a shiver as cold as Aeri's fever running down his spine.

"Why do you...wish to see her?" He asked, so careful with his tone.

Namjoon swerved to face him, face stricken with desperation. "Jungkook," he started, hurrying towards him, "I need to see her, it's really important."

The boy was having none of it. "Namjoon, that's okay and all, but why?"

Of course what Jungkook said was absolute dog shit. Of course it wasn't okay. He should be out that Dios-damned door before the boy pushes him out himself.

"It's something I must speak with Aeri alone," he muttered, rushing a hand on the boy's shoulder.

Jungkook pursed his lips even harder than before, quite sure his mouth was non-existent now.

"She's not here," he gritted out, looking away.

He couldn't look him in the eye. The boy knew Namjoon wasn't stupid, and all it would take was one confirmation through his eyes to find out he's lying to his face.
