Why did i say yes to spending a weekend in New York with Simon, on a business trip of all trips. Zoe, you are basically jumping straight into the firing line. I could not be putting myself in more danger if i tried. That being said, i did not doubt that Simon would do his best to protect me. And it's Simon, for God's sake. You do not say no to a face like that.

"I was just wondering if, maybe, you wanted to come with me?"

"Just me and you?"

"Yeah? Does that sound okay?"

"I can't be missing any time from work"

"Don't worry, we can leave after you finish on Friday and i'll have you back here for work on Monday morning. Of course, only if you want to come?"

"I'd love to spend the weekend away with you Simon"

Well it was now Friday, and Simon was due to pick me up when i finish in an hour. I had packed a small bag of clothes and brought it to work with me. It was completely pointless coming into work today. I have not been able to focus on anything other than the thought of this weekend away. I had never been alone with Simon for so long, what if it's awkward? What if he doesn't say anything the entire journey there?

Emily had sat with me for the majority of the day, trying to calm me down. She also handed me a fist full of condoms which i assured her i wouldn't be needing, but she made sure i packed them in my bag just in case.

Every minute that past on the clock made my heart beat that little bit faster. I was excited, as i love New York. I love the rush of the people and the busy city life. But will i be able to focus on the amazing surroundings when i have Simon next to me, with his perfect body, and perfect face and perfect voice. No, probably not.

4pm finally arrived and i grabbed my bag from under my desk. I walked out with Emily and saw Simon's car parked right outside.

"Well, have fun my lovely" Emily said as she squeezed me into a big hug.

"I'll see you soon" I squeezed back.

As i began walking to the car, Simon climbed out of the driving seat. He wasn't wearing his usual all black attire. He was still wearing his black jeans, but he had paired them with a white, button up shirt. He looked so smart and professional. Can't say i didn't want to rip the shirt right off of him, right there.

"Not too much fun!" Emily shouted as she climbed into her car, it was almost as if she had read my dirty thoughts. I gave her the middle finger and she laughed.

Simon walked with me to the passenger side of the car and opened the door for me.

"Why thank you, Sir" He laughed as he took my bag from me and shut the door. He opened the boot of the car and chucked my bag in before joining me in the car again.

"Ready to go?" He looked at me with a big smile on his face, he almost looked excited.

"Let's go" I imitated his big smile and he started the car. All nerves had left my body at this point. I was excited to spend a weekend away with Simon, who knew what could happen.

It took us around 20 minutes to arrive at an airport. Although it wasn't an airport that i had ever been to before. It didn't look very busy or seemed to have many planes leaving or arriving. I was a bit confused. Simon drove straight past the carpark and up to a gate, which a man was operating.

"Hello Mr Minter, go on through" The jolly man exclaimed as we arrived at the gate.

"Thank you Steve" Simon said as he lifted up his hand in a sort of, thank you gesture and drove through the now, open gates. All this time i was still baffled at what was going on.

We drove right onto the air field and Simon pulled up right next to a white, jet. Holy shit.

"Wait, is this yours?!" I couldn't help but raise my voice slightly in shock as i flicked between the jet and Simon.

"Yes Zoe, this is mine" Simon laughed at my shock before climbing out of the car and coming to my side to open my door.

I couldn't help but just stand there in disbelief. Simon grabbed our bags from the car and started walking towards the stairs to the plane.

"Come on you!" He shouted as he realised i was not following him.

"Nice to see you again Mr Minter" A man stood beside the stairs of the plane said.

"And you John. Zoe, this is John, the pilot"

"Hi John" I lifted my hand in a small wave and continued following Simon up the steps. The inside of the plane was just as shocking as the outside. Everything was a beige and white leather material. The type of jet you would see on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

I watched as Simon put our bags into one of the overhead compartments. He took his seat in one of the big leather chairs and i sat in the one opposite him.

"Do you like it?" He said, gesturing to the plane.

"This is unbelievable" I could hardly put into words how amazed i was.

"You'll get used to it" Simon laughed at my state. But i couldn't ignore his statement, 'you'll get used to it', like we'd be doing this a lot. Like he sees a future with me. I could feel my cheeks blushing. Sure, i was probably overthinking it, but it made me smile.

The whole journey was full of Simon and I chatting. There was absolutely no reason for me to worry about not having anything to talk about. We talked about places that we had been to, which Simon had completely outnumbered me about, music, books, films. It was like a completely normal situation. Which, it wasn't.

We had been offered champagne and snacks during our flight, it was insane. Five hours had never felt so quick in my entire life. Simon just made things easy. There was no awkwardness at all.

This journey just made me admire him more. Not because we were sitting in his very pricey, private yet. But because i found out what films he likes, and what music he was into. I got to hear him talk about his favourite places he had visited. I loved to hear the passion in his voice as he talked about the amazing food in Tokyo and Thailand. And don't get me started on his laugh, his laugh was enough to make me fall in love with him.

What the fuck? I'm not in love with Simon. This trip may just be enough to drive me insane.
