A smile like the sun,
Eyes as deep as the ocean.
You gave me a rose in a pot
To represent our love.
I watered that rose,
Gave it light.
No matter what I did
It would never grow.
I left the rose in the darkness,
Gave it no more water.
No matter what I did
It would never die.
The rose was fake,
But it accurately represented our love.
Just for show,
Always perfect, never dies, never grows.
