Utopian Disgrace

It is with a heavy heart that everything must leave.

Every word-- unheard. Landing on deaf ears.

Every memory-- forgotten. Brains can be changed.

Every thought-- scrapped. It isn't worth it.

Every person-- leaving. The world can't stop spinning.

The world may be perfect now, but it will inevitably change. From day to night, and back again.

Only to repeat.

Good men die young, and the wicked age without heed.

It is unjust, but that's how this place is. It favors not the graceful, nor the graceless.

It is purely, relentlessly, chance.

It will knock you to your knees and kick you while you're down. And you will scream for relief, and rise back up. Only to be knocked down again. Life is a cycle. A cycle of different actions, but all with the same consequence.
