I CAN FINALLY MARK ANOTHER BOOK AS COMPLETED! I'M SO PROUD OF MYSELF AND THE ACHIEVEMENTS THAT I WILL BE GETTING WITH THIS BOOK!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR ENDLESS AND PATIENT SUPPORT!! I was just so in love with the Kuroko no Basket series that I need to make a fanfiction about it. Here are some facts about the book and the challenges I have to overcome while writing.
History/ facts about this book
The first draft was written on 15 July 2018 while I was watching the second season. At first, I had several gay ships as a plot for a fanfiction. So, I already knew I wanted to write one.
I was jealous the whole time during that one episode where Momoi came to see Kuroko at the swimming pool. I shipped Momoi and Aomine and I was infatuated with Kuroko. That was how I chose to write about Kuroko since he is unlikely to have a crush given his monotonous persona.
I had a writer's block from chapter 7 onwards and quickly finished all three seasons before finally having an inspiration for the dating scene. Chika and Giichi going on a date at the night market as Kuroko and Tora were was purely impromptu because I was stuck on how to move on. Naturally, the fortune teller scene comes next because I was coincidentally watching a YouTuber who likes tarot reading.
The fortune teller scene was a hint if you didn't catch on. Tora was supposed to die after winning the Spring Cup but she already knew they were going to win anyway. Then the black blank card was supposed to be a picture of a tombstone to tell her that she is going to die. But I always thought Death is unpredictable so I wrote it as a dead end like "The end of the line" or something along those lines.
The story was originally going to take place during the third season because I had imagined Tora cheering for Kuroko. But they were busy training. I don't think Kuroko would have time to consider his conflicted feelings since he was keen on helping Kagami to defeat the Generation of Miracles.
So after having writer's block and watching the movie, Kuroko no Basket the last game, I finally finished writing the story as of 3rd September 2018.
And speaking of the Last Game movie, I am thinking of an alternate ending book. What do you think? The 12 chapters are inspirations because I thought of how a lot of Anime series ending on 12 episodes. But at the same time, there are many things that the Anime series left out from the manga in order to get 12 episodes.
I really think I want to end like this but I don't mind writing an alternate ending and maybe a continuation of how Tora rekindle with her Teiko middle school friends. I know there were a lot of plotholes including the actual backstory since I put out the members of Ginnotani High School basketball girl team but never really had a motive behind it.
