for the whole day, the only thing momo could think about was that. during times when the others would laugh, she'd think. during times they called out her name, she'd think. during times they acted like they were gonna thorw out her most priced possesion, mina and jeongyeon's picture, from a cliff, she'd think. that's all she has been doing. it worried sana. dahyun wasn't really worried anymore since she thought it was a hangover. momo was walking around and bumped into sana.
"oh, sorry, unnie." momo didn't really pay attention until sana waved her hand in front of her face.
"ah, what? yeah, it-it's okay."
"hey, what's wrong with you? you've been spacing out a lot, and not really enjoying with us."
she was her best friend. momo knew she had to tell her. sana was the girl momo was closest to among their group of friends, and she wasn't really comfortable sharing something that made her uneasy. there was a moment of silence, where momo was playing with her fingers as she thought of what to say to her friend.
"momo unnie, what is wrong? we promised we wouldn't keep secrets from each other. you can tell me anything. no matter what it is, i will never ever tell anyone." those words made momo more comfortable. she brought up her head and smiled faintly to sana.
"fine, but you will not tell anyone, right?"
"your secrets safe with me." sana declared. momo pulled her towards the trees, so no one could see them hiding.
"how should i say this?" she thought.
"okay, uh... when- when i was wake5ing jackson up..." she went closer to the girl's ear and covered her mouth with her hand.
"he kissed me." sana was in shock. just as shook as momo when it happened.
"why?"
"i don't know."
"wait, actually, so the problem here is that he kissed you?"
"no, i- after that, um, i couldn't stop thinking about it. it also made me hallucinate, like when he calls me 'mom', i hear 'babe'." sana listened carefully to her and tried to figure out the problem.
"i got it!" she gasped.
"what is it?"
"you like him!" momo blushed a little and covered her face.
"no, i don't! i'm immune to falling in love!"
"you can't be immune to falling in love, unnie. one day, you're always gonna find your true love, and that means, you're obviously not immune to falling in love, so it's still possible to like jackson or someone else."
"am i?"
"i get you, sana. thank you for the help. i guess, i'll take it from here." sana nodded as momo left the trees until she realized sana wasn't beside her.
"you coming?"
"nah, i'll go out for a walk for a while." momo left her and she started walking around. again, she went to the waterfall, and, again, she met up with mark.
"why are you always here when i'm here?" sana whined.
"why are you always here when i'm here?" mark repeated. sana just didn't pay attention to it and walked towards the waterfall. she thought about her talk with momo, how she's falling in love, maybe. she has fallen in love, but whoever her boyfriend was never 'the one'. she let out a loud sigh and got mark's attention.
"what's wrong with you? you seemed so happy a while ago." sana turned around to face him as she started playing with her fingers.
"i am happy."
"well, you don't seem happy. so, what's up?"
"momo told me something - that i will not tell you - that made me think. anyways, it was something about love. it makes me think of who my true love is gonna be. all my boyfriends at least cheated on me, broke up with me for some other girl, or we failed on having long-distance relationships. it's all the same." sana sat next to mark as she explained.
"why are you already wondering who he's gonna be - referring to your 'true love'?"
"i don't know. i guess, just a thing i do, think ahead." she again sighed. mark was just there, listening to her every word.
"i think you should try looking for him. what do you want your love to be?"
"a guy that can make me smile on things that really bring me down or just make me smile a lot, loyal, stand beside me no matter what, listen to my long and annoying problems-"
"yeah, they are long and annoying." mark cut her off. sana slapped his arms as both of them laughed together.
"he's also gotta be attractive, you know?" they laughed again.
"have you ever met anyone like that? if he's a he, then he might be the one." sana thought about it for a while. at the second he asked that question, he appeared on sana's mind.
"mark? no, it might be just because i'm beside him, but if you think about it... is he-? he makes me smile, i don't know about the loyal part, but he also listens to my problems, and i actually thought he was really handsome the first time i saw him."
sana gulped down an invisible lump.
"so, have you?"
"yes, actually, i have."
"cool, who is it?"
"wait, so those this mean that this guy is my fated partner?"
"could be. if he matches all those things you just listed, maybe. i'm not really sure about it." he replied.
"but, who is he?"
"like, i'm telling you." she chuckled.
"aw, why not? i'm already the one who helped." he pouted and his face made sana laugh.
"just a clue, at least."
"a clue. okay." sana really didn't have any trouble confessing to guys. it didn't take a really long, like other girls. she could do it right away even though she knew she might get rejected. she went closer to him until she could feel the skin contact between them. their faces were only inches apart. pretty soon, their lips hit each other's, and mark got the clue.
sana pulled away as mark smiled a bit.
"and i thought you hated me."
"i thought that, too." they both chuckled before mark kissed sana back, giving her the clue.
