Sabrina huffed, her feet pattering against the pavement harshly and her backpack shifting around as she clutched it in her hands.
The camp dinner bell tolled, the signal that it was 6:30 and that free time for campers was starting.
Sabrina was invited to her first party ever, and she was going to be late.
She burst inside the cabin, huffing as she saw her roommates' stuff, lipgloss and combs and hairties, scattered all over.
Sabrina grinned, picking up a hairtie from the floor and gathering her matted hair in a messy, uneven ponytail.
She picked a random sweatshirt from her backpack and adjusted her glasses and zoomed over to the cabin where the party was held.
"I'm here!" She screamed as the door slammed open.
"Pipe down, nerd." Gen, one of the girls, scolded with an obnoxious giggle
"Shut up or I throw your bralettes to the fire, not that you need it anyway." Sabrina huffed, smiling over at Lara Jean who suppressed her laughter unsuccessfully at the corner.
She sat down next to Lara Jean and smiled. "I don't know if you remember me, we haven't really talked but hey."
"Hey!"
The two girls giggled, Lara squealing as a bottle was thrown their way.
"Um, what is this?"
"We're playing spin the bottle, man." One of the boys whispered over to Sabrina.
Sabrina snorted, much to the amusement of the boys as the girls whispered to each other about how unladylike she was.
"Who kissed who?"
"Peter kissed Lara." One of the girls said, in addition to other couples.
"Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool." Sabrina nodded and slammed the bottle in the middle. "What do I do?"
"Just spin it and kiss who it ends up pointing to." Gen hissed.
"Hush it, princess." Sabrina rolled her eyes and spun the bottle, raising her eyebrow as it stopped towards a floppy-haired boy.
The boy's face turned red rapidly, a chorus of whoops and laughter along with it.
"You're Peter, aren't you?"
"Yeah."
"Nice." Sabrina grinned, tilting her head in confusion as Peter crawled forwards and leaned in close.
"What are you doing?"
Peter clenched his eyes shut and pecked her lips before quickly rushing back to his seat, his head buried in his arms.
Sabrina raised her eyebrows. "Ah, so that's what you guys mean by kiss."
Peter smiled over at Sabrina, who stood up, dusting her shorts and screaming "This is boring, where's the food?!"
Peter's gaze followed the rowdy blonde, barely listening to the calls by the other kids to spin again.
All he could see that time was the mysterious, hyper-active blonde.
