Chapter 12.

"The club was popping, the Disc Jockey got me dancing to the discothèque" Sarah said.
"It was obvious that you were displaying your crazy attitude" Leah chuckled.
"So, tell me, Leah, did you get Samantha's digits?"
"Uh-oh. I really can't remember, I'll check later" Leah said.
"Why did you ask?" She inquired.
"Uhm. Nothing. Nothing really"
"Hmm. Are you sure, Sarah?"
"Yes. I am. Nothing really." Sarah replied.
"Okay. Fine"

They hopped in the car and drove off jerkily.

The water in her bottle sloshed as she tried to get her skates on, it was 9:10am and Samantha was already late for work. She was still feeling groggy from last night hang out with Damian.
She dressed to her nines, trying to look formal.
She checked her wrist watch, it was 9:15 already
"Fucking shit" she exclaimed.
"Really. I'm late" she whispered to herself as she slammed the door.

She walked down the lane to get a cab, after about 10minutes, it took a hike.

She glanced at her wristwatch as she got in the elevator, it was 10:00 already.
"Samantha", Bobby, a coworker whispered her name.
"Hey, Bob. How're you?"
"I'm great. What kept you late, Mantha. You're always punctual" Bobby asked with a furrow on his forehead.
"Oh. Well. The car I entered was held up in traffic" Samantha said.
"Or you were busy last night with
...." Bob said skeptically and gave her a wink.
"Why's this dude inquisitive" she thought to herself.
"What do you mean, Bob?
"Nothing. My tongue slipped. I'm sorry" Bob said apologetically.

She got into her office and got cracking. She grasped the landline to call her boss 'cause his office was locked and she was perplexed, kinda.

"Hello. Samantha on the line"
"Hello. How're you?"
"Very well, Sir"
"Good. I'll be off from work today, I got a call to get down to brass tracks."
"Alright. I'll see you tomorrow. Bye Sir"
"Alright. Bye"
