He wasn't really looking when she came to his life.
In her, he found a home, peace and love.
He felt whole again after love gone sour , re- energized and purposeful
It was like he was running on new tires, a new engine!
Not even his age could protect him from this feeling. No.
So he let it come in as it wished.
He didn't fight it and for a moment, he was happy.
From where he sat, he could tell that she felt more like him.
And he was happy, seeing a soul smile because it had found solace in him.
Life was creme de la creme and so they lived on.
He saw a future in her;
A family, goals,days spent together, children, a soul-mate, you name it.
He was complete, at least for the moment.
Then one day, just ONE DAY, they were not sure anymore.
Probably the worst ending ever.
But love lived on ,
No matter how much they would have liked to deny it.
It was great while it lasted though; when they could say it a loud.
Yes, that was love and it still is.
He looked at her again and still, there was love.
The flame in her eyes, the way she made him feel when she smiled
Ooh, the whole of her!
Nothing had changed. NOTHING was going to CHANGE.
She still made him feel the same.
She still was his Queen.
She smiled at him when they met again,
And he whispered under his breathe,
I LOVE YOU GIRL, and someday,
Someday, in the uncertain future, I'll still take you home.
He had never fallen this dangerously but he didn't mind it either.
He had finally met THE ONE.
