why is it
that when someone else
screws up
i say
"don't worry -
everyone makes mistakes -
don't beat yourself up -
it's not the end of the world"
but when i mess up
i'm worthless
pathetic
idiotic
a failure
why can't i afford myself
the same forgiveness
i so freely give everyone else?
