A wind from the North blows,

Bringing with it those who lie below.

With them, spreads the infection,

to what may be the darkest connection.

A crown forged from the tears of good and bad,

will choose the king whose army stands.

The light leads and the dark follows,

to the first jewel of the girl who borrowed

Then, the dark leads and the light follows,

to the send jewel of a man's true horror

A king shall be crowned where the first king stepped,

putting an end to their world's unrest.

I would dream about them almost every night. And sometimes, for endless days and hours, I would wonder about them. Their state, both mentally and physically. Were they still alive? Did they still talk to each other? Were they ever planning on rebelling against Percy? Did they succeed or ever stand a chance to begin with? I never knew. I would try to get any sort of information from the slaves camp half-blood would send every year, but Percy made sure I never was in the same room as them for long, and I never dared to talk to them, I didn't want to cause any campers more pain. Therefore, in the past five years, I never heard anything about Piper, Hazel, Leo, Frank, Reyna, Nico or Jason. I wanted to know about my siblings at camp and my other friends like Clarisse, Travis, Connor and, Chiron. I want to know how he is. But most importantly, I just want to apologise to every single one of them for failing them. My friends. Chiron. The demigods that passed by me in the palace halls, glaring at me for failing to protect them. Instead, I was lured in by Percy. Actually, he didn't lure me in, he actually trusted me at one point. But I made the mistake of falling for him again, for believing in him. And then I failed again by lying to the Olympians about our true intentions on the battle field. I should've persuaded Jason into killing him. Maybe I should've killed him.

Hazel slid next to Piper, placing her plate of food in front of her. Piper glanced at her for a brief second, looking surprised that she sat next to her, but then returned to her food with a bored and lifeless expression.

It was lunchtime, and Hazel had been waiting for the perfect opportunity all day to approach Piper and ask her to join her and Frank into sneaking into the Athena cabin in order to raid their mini library, in hopes of finding anything about the prophecy. Hazel had finally built the courage to approach her old friend. "So, Piper?"

"Mm?" She was clearly uninterested with what Hazel had to say, before she even said anything. But Hazel had to try, even if Piper disagreed at first, she would come around. Hazel made sure her voice was loud enough for Leo and Reyna to hear her, but not loud enough to attract unwanted attention from other tables or the guards standing close by. "Frank and I are planning to figure this prophecy out, want to join?" Both Leo and Reyna had glanced towards them. Good, she caught their attention. Piper rolled her eyes and set her spoon down. "I already told you Hazel, no. It would do us no good. Make no difference. We might die trying."
