~Finally Home~

Aphmau's POV

I sit in the back of the car sighing. Lilith is placed in the baby seat next to me and Aaron sits in the front. We dive in silent as my head rest on the window, my finger clasped in Lilith's tightly closed hand.

"You alright"

"Yeah I just wanna sleep in a real bed"

"You can say that again. I slept in the chairs"

"You could have come home" I say to him as I continue to lean on the window

"No it wouldn't have been right. Besides you needed me"

"No I didn't. I could have done all of that without you" I say to him as a small smirk forms on my lips.

"Come on when we get back you can go to sleep"

"I love you"

"I love you more"

"No I do"

"Hhhhmmmm maybe"

"Prove it"

"Breakfast in bed every morning for a month. Pancakes"

"I think you might win that one. But just remember I love you" I say to him looking at my phone. I see a million messages from Zane

I lock my phone as I see us turn into the street. I sigh again and watch as Aaron opens the door. It's like 1am right now so everyone should be sleeping meaning I won't have to answer questions to anyone. I kinda didn't tell them I went into labour a few days ago.

"Oh no Katelyn's gonna flip" I then realise I said that aloud

"Don't worry. Why don't you take Lilith upstairs and go to bed. I'll be up in a minute" he says softly and I take the seat out and into the house. I quietly walk up the stairs and into our room. I place Lilith in the crib at the end of our bed before I collapse onto it. I spread out across the whole thing and when Aaron comes in he can't help but laugh slightly

"You can laugh but this mattress is so comfy"

"Well then let me have some"

"Only if I can use you as a pillow" I say to him before rolling over slightly. Once he lies down I move over to him and rest my head on his chest. I listen to his heartbeat, it's steady thump ringing through my ears. Alina's was so similar. Aaron's hand runs through my hair and my eyes slowly shut as I'm pulled out of reality.

A small cry is let out causing me to open my eyes, sighing. I sit up and look to the end of the bed smiling. I reach over to pick her up and then sit back down where I was before. Aaron's arm wraps around me again

"5 more minutes" he mumbles

"As long as you want hunny" I say to him as Lilith stops crying. I look to the clock on the wall. Great it's 5am meaning I'm not going back to sleep. I moved slightly to get up but Aaron holds me tighter

"Stay with me"

"I have to get up. You can stay here and I'll make you breakfast"

"But I made you a promise"

"But we already know that you love me more. Just sleep, kay"

"Alright. I won't say no to that" he says and I get up. I walk out the room quietly trying not to entirely wake him up and let Celestia outside. My phone starts ringing so I place Lilith on the mat on the floor answering it

"Hey Aph you alright" the rushed voice says

"I'm sorry who is this"

"Aph it's Zane" he says a little annoyed

"I'm sorry it's 5am and I'm still half asleep"

"Why are you up"

"That's not important"

"Right so I'm coming over today to see you"

"Okay. Aaron's working today so I'm free" I sigh "Although I have to make a phone call before you can come over"

"Alright I'll be there at 11"

"Fine bye" I hang up and throw my phone onto the seat next to me and each for the remote. I flick through movies when I see Frozen. I start watching it and Celestia comes and curls up next to me. I hold Lilith close to me and quietly sing along to the songs. My hand stokes her head when I touch the locket. Shakily I take my spare hand to open it slowly. I look to the image when I hear footsteps from behind me. I shut the locket and turn back to the TV.

"If it isn't may favourite girl all sat together" he says

"Well who's your favourite" I ask him as he stands behind the couch

"Celestia, obviously" he says and stokes her head before kissing my forehead. "So where's be breakfast"

"Give me a minute" I take Lilith up the stairs and lay her down given she is asleep already I then go to the kitchen and make some pancakes. When I finish I make an extra one and throw it on the floor for Celestia. Aaron comes into the room and takes the plate out of my hand before kissing me. My tongue grazes his lip and he smirks slightly. I tear off a small bit of the pancake and Aaron rest his forehead on mine. I lean into him as if I was gonna kiss him again before shoving the small bit of pancake in my mouth and walking off. I sit back down and continue watching Frozen when I see Aaron stood there

"I gotta go in about 20"

"I hate it when you go to work. I'm left here all alone"

"Aww babe it's okay. I'll be home at 5" I sigh as he goes up the stairs. I guess I could make the call now.
