ever since tyler was young he remembered always seeing darkness.

it used to scare him, terrify and nearly scar his mind.

he couldn't dream in visuals, it would only be the works spoken and noises around him. some nights it was the rustling of leaves and the growl of something.

he dubbed this growl, "the sightless" because tyler could not see whatever it was but the fear was still there.

one day, he met a boy who was in the same class as him, joshua dun.

joshua was kind, he giggled a lot and his cheeks were always warm when tyler was around.

"okay jj, close your eyes," tyler said with a soft smile.

"a-alright, they're closed," he said as he did so.

"t-tell me what somethin' looks like just from memory."

josh giggled, "well, i can remember you. you have fluffy brown hair, your mama dresses you in big sweaters and you have the prettiest smile i've ever seen."

his cheeks felt warm, touching them gently, "wh-what color is a blush?"

josh smiled wide, "red or pink, usually red if they feel hot-- why do you ask?"

"n-no reason." he giggled.
