They are not slangs ,rather they are words who were capable enough to carry bad memories along with it,yet powerful enough not to let you forget those,never these let them blur...thus,a so-called bad,or,dirty ,or,offending word at the worst case may offend you ,but those powerful memory-bearing words would hurt you,would kill you,would you make you avoid that word,and to find a synonym of that word to keep your vocabulary uninfluenced .But,you still can't stop the surroundings from keep coming up with moments which bring those words in front of you again,and,again!
Say, "It's fine" ,"lol" ,"can't speak with empathy"
