As Raziel continues on his journey to find a way to seek out Janos he stumbles into an ancient ruin. "It would seem my absence had not been as long as had I thought. This ruin, presumably one of Mobius's Time Streaming Devices had a strange door with a symbol of the Soul Reaver printed above along with the symbol of the State Guardian." He then realized he had no way of opening it due to one major detail: In exchange for his freedom from the Reaver Blade he also no longer retained the Wraith Blade due to it also being absorbed by the blade along with Raziel. "I needed to devise some other means into this shrine" Raziel said examining the door closely. It was then Raziel was shocked by a unforseen discovery. "What? Impossible!" He turns around and sees what appeared to be an active spirit beacon!

As Raziel continued to behold the beacon a wisp of energy drained from its center and wrapped itself around his right arm! Raziel skrieks in panic as the spirit energy coiled around his arm until it made the shape of the Soul Reaver but there was something different about it. "As the beacon wrapped it's energy around my right arm I felt horribly repelled by the sight of it but at the same time I felt a strange calmness from the wraith blade. I felt none of the parasitic hunger I formerly felt, this time I was in complete control of the blade."

"Perhaps now I could unseal that ancient door at last" Raziel says as he proceeds to enter the door.
As Raziel enters the ruin he is greeted by a demon walking out from the shadows.

"It would seem we have underestimated you, little Raziel." Raziel draws his new wraith blade and attacks the demon. In a short battle with the demonic foe Raziel manages to beat it in a few short slashes but he noticed that the demon's soul wasn't devoured by the Reaver as before. It would've seemed the Reaver had allowed Raziel to devour the souls of his victims instead of devouring them automatically. "So, it would seem that my freedom from the wraith blade had only meant that the original Wraith blade hadn't been removed only purified once I had acquired the Spirit Reaver in the Vampire Citadel. It's savage, uncontrollable appetite had finally been contained and now it seems the Reaver was now finally honed at last." After the brief encounter Raziel continued on throughout the ruins to explore and find if some evidence of the possibility of Janos Audron's rescue might still remain.
