Chapter 6

A/N: Hey everyone. So, here I am, guilt fed by everyone who's waiting for BA. Unexpectedly, I write dark comedy best and my literature teacher has said that my extremely gory scenes even creep him out. Huh, maybe I should write dark stories from now on? The serious, creepy, tragic kind? Maybe, but I suck at writing mystery...

Longwei woke up the next morning by having a nightmare of being eaten by a snake.

"Ahhh!"

Zhang Yuqi didn't even bother waking up. That kid was causing trouble. Maybe she shouldn't have picked him up?

But even if she didn't wake up, Cinna did.

He whined from his crib in his room and Zhang Yuqi sighed hearing the faint sound. In the end, she got up, pissed off at the kid she brought back. More extra training for him today.

'Yuqi, I'm back!'

'Welcome back, Darling.'

'Yuqi, I have some bad news.'

Zhang Yuqi frowned. What kind of bad news would be bad enough to make it seem worse than the apocalypse?

'The thing is... my superior ordered me not to give you too powerful of a golden finger. Your power, it's been fixed to only being able to be used 10 times.'

"Oh..."

This wasn't too bad. But if one of her future party members were infected, would she have to use her powers?

'Then I can use it on 10 people Max?'

'Yup, using it once per person is the maximum for the human body. And if you're the one infecting them, they won't feel pain and will still have full control of their consciousness.'

'Good.'

Zhang Yuqi got up and walked out of her room.

"Longwei, shut up!" she yelled in frustration.

"I'm sorry Sis Yuqi! But can you be quiet? I'm making Cinna go back to sleep," Longwei whispered.

Oh, it looked like the kid was smart enough to apologize. He even was rocking Cinna gently and being quiet for once.

Zhang Yuqi turned and went into the kitchen.

She checked the time and got pissed off again.

5 AM! Can't the kid have yelled at least 3 hours later?!

Zhang Yuqi grumbled and complained to Darling and the system listened and commented. They were like housewives, complaining about daily life.

Making coffee for herself, she added some peppermint candy into the drink.

"Oh? I want to try coffee!" Longwei foolishly grabbed the coffee container and almost burnt his hand.

"So hot!"

"Pft," although Zhang Yuqi was bothered by this talkative kid, she did albeit think that he was great to have around. He served as a good entertainment source.

"Sis Yuqi, don't laugh! I haven't had coffee before, this is a serious matter!" Such a serious face, but with his good young looks, he still looked very immature.

"Hahaha!" Now she was roaring in laughter.

"Ah, Meng Longwei, I hope that bringing you back home was a good choice. You've got to become a man! Let's go out and fight some zombies again," eager to shed some guts and blood once again, Zhang Yuqi gave out a suggestion that was meant to be taken as an order.

"Sis Yuqi, I-I already am a man!" Longwei puffed out his chest in pride.

"Ha, aren't you just trying to worm your way out of seeing zombies and mutants again? Pathetic!" Zhang Yuqi scolded.
