Parallel

Funny,
I thought it would be easier.
Just like I did before,
disconnect.

But back then I was young,
emotions were afar.
Of course,
I wouldn't forget their faces,
but when emotions spill into your life,
it's different.

Dang.

You got me sitting here trying to distract myself.
I'd be doing something,
then something would happen that reminds me of you.

I'm okay.
I'm doing alright.

But then I see your face and I crave.
It's not a desire that comes with sadness,
it's a desire that I know that maybe one day, I could see you again.

Bliss.

It's not lust,
It's love.

Your smile, your laugh,
Your eyes, your hair,
Your style.

Alluring.

The way we connect,
It's from another world.
Not divergent,
but parallel.

You're extraordinary.

I remember that day when I first realized.
Beauty and elegance sat before me.
A loss of breath almost.

We didn't see it coming.

Your eyes filled with pure happiness,
as we danced..
And it didn't matter how bad it was, as long as it was with you.

Euphoria.

Even through the muddled,
we connected back like magnets.

It was like luminescence.

It's kinda hard to forget a painted picture,
but why would I want to forget it?

That picture may remain.

Maybe the picture will be present again one day.
