It took two seconds for the door to open after I had rang the doorbell. A tall and excited woman with short, brown to black hair stood with a huge smile on her face.

"Hello!" She smiled reaching in for a big hug, "you must be Winny!" I was afraid that if she kept smiling her face was going to be like that forever.

"Yes, and you are Joy," I tried matching her smile.

"I am, I am. Let me give you a tour of the house," she said turning away until Ashton cleared his throat.

"Oh hello Ashton! How are you sweety?"

"I'm great, thank you," he smiled.

He turned away, walking down the path. I remembered that he was showing me the town later. So I quickly wrote down my number.

"Ashton wait!" I yelled when he got into his car. He stopped. "Here's my number," I stretched my arm at him, to give him the piece of paper.

"Great, I'll text you when I come to get you," he chuckled getting into his car and driving off. When I turned back around, I saw a boy my age. He looked a lot like Joy, so that must be Calum. I smiled a bright smile at him.

"Hi, I'm Winny," I said shaking his hand. He smiled back and answered shyly.

"Calum," he said nervously, "my mum told me to show you the house while she finishes lunch," I smiled and nodded in agreement to the tour.

So he set up to the only flight of stairs, and from the stairs he turned down a hall on the left, then to a room on the right.

He waved one arm motioning to the room.

"This room is yours, feel free to decorate it anyway you want," he mumbled. I didn't have enough time to get a good look at it.

He moved down the hall, to another hall on the right of the stairs. On the left there was a huge bathroom.

"That bathroom is yours," he pointed to another one across from it, "and this one is mine. My room is just down there and the towel closet, is straight across from it," he said pointing down to the end of the hall.

He headed back down stairs, and wandered into a big room, with huge picture windows.

"This is the living room," after motioning at it one last time, he walked into a door on the right, that lead to a huge kitchen and dinning room area.

"That's pretty much about it. My mum's room, is down the hall from the living room," he smiled,"I hope your comfortable," I looked at him and smiled sweetly.

"Calum?" I put my head down trying not to cry.

"Hm?" He responded.

"Did you know very much about my mother?" I looked at him teary eyed.

"I met her once, and she was very sweet," he offered a helping smile. He rubbed my shoulder then wandered off to his room.

I walked back up to mine, and began unpacking my bags.

My room was huge, there was a double bed in the middle and a bay window across from it.

Standing at the bay window, I could see out across the neighborhood. It was a gorgeous place.

I had a few dressers and a giant walk in closet. When I open the doors, my mouth dropped open.

It had cloths in it, like the the kind of cloths I actually wore.

There were band tee's and skinny jeans. High tops, and combat boots. Beanies and flat bills. I was completely and utterly excited.

I finally finished unpacking, and flopped backwards down on my bed. My iPhone dinged signaling either a text message or a voicemail.

I looked at the number, not knowing who it was, so I opened it.

"Hey it's Ash, I'll pick you up around six. That's when the cities at it's best :D"

This sudden wave of happiness and excitement hit me. I hurried my make-up and flat iron out of my drawers and got it ready.

I finished getting ready when Joy called time for lunch. I was kinda nervous about asking her if Ashton could show me around, only because I was used to my father snapping and yelling at me.

"Um, Joy, I was wondering if I could go with Ashton to show me the city," I asked.

"Well if course my dear!" she exclaimed, "I'm more than happy that you already have a new friend," she smiled widely.

She served my my plate, and giggled at how fast I are it.

"Be careful now, don't want you to choke," I looked over at Calum who was trying to subside a smile.

"What?" I giggled.

"I've never seen a girl eat like that before," he laughed, looking down at his plate opening his mouth to ask a question, "Winny, can I go with you and Ashton?"

I looked at him with soft eyes letting him know that I was nice, I wand though to be mean to him.

"Yeah, of course. Are you ready? We are leaving at six,"

"Yeah I'm ready," he smiled.

Hopefully he was getting used to the fact that he had an abused cousin living with him. I just hope he didn't treat me with sympathy like the rest of the people I've met.

Calum and I stood outside the front door, waiting for Ashton, in awkward silence. So I decided to speak.

"Calum, please don't treat me like an abused puppy dog. I'm a big girl, I can handle this," I smiled at him, letting him know I wasn't angry.

"I'll try not to, it's just hard when it's your family," he frowned.

"I can't believe that I've jus met you," I sighed. His head shot up and he frowned.

"Winny, we were really close when we were younger," all of a sudden my heart stopped, remembering a little but of my childhood at a time.
