TOM'S POV
I didn't like this. Not in the slightest. Three days had passed and Y/N was clutching onto my arm as I led her slowly down to the basement. To Jess.
"You don't have to do this, Princess," I remind her. Harrison was also walking with us. On Y/N's other side. She didn't like not having him around anymore, she liked to have both of us protecting her, though she'd never admit it.
"Tommy," she murmured, giving me a tight smile.
"You don't have to do this," I repeat, not wanting to admit that no part of me wanted her anywhere near Jess.
"I do," she says, shaking her head and squeezing my hand.
"I can talk to her for you," I press and Harrison shoots me a look over her head, clearly telling me to drop it.
"I need to," Y/N disagrees, shaking her head and moving closer into me, making herself smaller.
"I love you," I tell her, pausing outside of the door to the basement.
"I love you too," she whispers, pushing herself up onto her toes to press a kiss on my lips.
I let out a sigh and pushed the door open, allowing her to go down in front of me. She released her grip on my arm before taking my hand, squeezing it as tight as possible when she started down the stairs.
"Y/N?" I clenched my jaw at the sound of her voice. Y/N opened her mouth and closed it again, seeming unable to form words. "Y/N?" Jess repeats, standing up from where she was sat in the corner of the room.
"Jess," she whispers, backing away when Jess takes a few tentative steps towards her. I push her behind me, wanting to shield her. She clutches on to the fabric of my shirt.
"Y/N, I'm so fucking sorry!" Tears are falling down her face as Jess reaches out towards her.
"Then why'd you do it," I hiss at her as Harrison catches Jess's hands and moves her away from Y/N.
"Because I loved him," Jess is sobbing at this point.
"You loved me," Y/N's voice is hoarse as she peaks out from behind me and slowly walks out so that she's a couple of steps in front of me.
"I'm sorry," she whispers, tears falling down her face. "Wouldn't you have done it for Tom?"
Y/N shakes her head and I frown. She wouldn't do it for me?
"You were my best friend,"
I try not to let myself be put out by her comment of not telling me about Jess and Jared.
"You never told me who Jared was,"
"You never told me who Tom was,"
"I wouldn't have let him do anything to you," Y/N whispers. "I wouldn't have let him hurt you,"
"Where is he?"
"Elsewhere," my voice is cold and hard when I tell her and her gaze snaps up to me, almost murderous.
"You're a despicable human being," Jess hisses and I release Y/N's hand, moving to pull out a gun, pointing it to her head.
"I hold your life in my hands,"
"Don't shoot her!" Y/N screeches and hits my hand, the surprise causing me to let go of the gun and send it clattering to the ground. I whip around to look at my girlfriend in utter confusion. "She was my best friend, Tom," she whispers and my heart melts at the panicked look in her eyes.
"We have to do something with her, Princess,"
"Don't hurt her," she begs.
"We won't, Y/N," Harrison promises. Jess lets out a spiteful laugh.
"What, you fucking both of them?" She spits at Y/N who flinches back at her words.
"Y/N, go upstairs and find Mum," I tell my girlfriend, who looks up at me, terrified. "Go on, I think she bought you something yesterday when she was in town,"
"Tommy," Y/N whispers and I try to give her a reassuring before giving her a gentle push towards the door.
"You didn't hurt her, did you?"
I unbuttoned my shirt and changed into sweatpants, before walking over to the bed which Y/N was curled up on.
"No," I sat on the bed next to her head. She crawled over and placed her head on my lap. I played with her hair, massaging her scalp.
"What did you do?"
"It's okay, Y/N," I assure her, not wanting her to worry. It was true, we hadn't hurt her at all. As it turned out, as much as she said that she loved Jared, she was not as strong as Y/N was and ended up spilling everything as soon as we even threatened her.
"But you didn't do anything?"
"No,"
"Swear on your life," I smiled down at her, kissing her forehead.
"I'll swear on anything, Princess," Y/N gives a slow nod, unsure whether or not to be satisfied with my response.
"Can I see my friends?" She asks shyly. I tense.
"Who?"
"Ollie, James and Louis?"
"Can I meet them?"
"Maybe," Y/N whispers, tugging me down to lie next to her. "And I want to see my family again,"
"I don't want you out of my sight," I tell her, pulling her so that she was properly curled up on my chest, her slightly-shaky hand drawing circles on my bare chest.
"I need to see them. I've been MIA for a while,"
"Only if I can come with you," I bargain and Y/N nods a little against my chest before snuggling further in and letting out a yawn. "Sleep, Princess, you've had a long day,"
"I love you,"
"I love you too,"
