There's spoilers(specifically from S6 Ep8 Pt.1&2 and Her Wish)

Theory: So I just remembered that Alina stated in Her Wish, that her mother is dead(Irene/Aphmau). What if the reason of Irene's passing is because she travelled to this dimension and fought Michael herself? However, Irene didn't get the happy end she wanted. Yes, she defeated Michael and Aphmau is clearly back to life, but not Irene. She died whilst fighting Michael so that's why she couldn't make it back to her daughter. Or maybe, she sacrificed her whole life form(well her soul) to Aphmau, so that she can bring her back to life. And with Aphmau containing Irene's soul and such, she was able to defeat Michael. From there, Aphmau would have clearly won but Irene is now trapped within Aphmau so she couldn't go back to her dimension to see Alina again.
