Years had gone by , the passing of 12 years in the Princess existence , she had drastically changed

Ever since the exile of the Kim empire , she would never be the same - she learnt to be more accepting of her parents decisions

Especially her mother's.

She knew her actions in her past had created a lot of bloodshed and sadness especially for the ruling queen M/N who had lost her sweet best friend

Recently she always has a bad feeling behind her head , she chose to just ignore it because she's probably just beating herself down

"princess Y/N?" A chamber maid came forth with her hands in the front of her "Yes ?" She answered politely

"Your mother wishes to see you , she is downstairs with all her guests"

Y/N frowned , she didn't want to go down , it wasn't a function that was meant for her which is why her father had excused her from it.

"But-"

"Its a matter of great urgency " the chamber maid cut her off , already knowing before hand that the princess might reject the offer

Y/N nodded , following the chamber maid downstairs to the grand hall where the clinking of glasses could be heard , soft whispers and mummers

She peered down and saw her mother talking to a couple , they seemed pleased in each others presence

Y/N's POV

I made my way down the stairs and I winced when the royal announcer called out my name loudly , he shouldn't have done that

"Here Comes Princess Y/N!!" He blurted and everyone turned to look up at me , despite wanting to run away , I smiled and nodded politely

Making my way down the stairs , my mother took my hand to guide me next to her , she pointed to the older couple "This is the IM family"

I bowed respectfully "This is my daughter Y/N"

"Its a pleasure to finally meet you my child , we've been on a waiting list for a while now" The man spoke first ,  my eyebrows knitted into a frown

"Waiting list ? Waiting list for ?" I looked from my mum to the older couple

Mum signed "Honey , you have passed the age of marriage , I have twisted tradition to allow you to marry when your older , your now 20 years old and you must be wedded" my mum caressed my arms .

My throat became dry , I didn't want to get married , to anyone...

But remembering the past , I forced a smile "may I meet him first?" I said calmly , Mum looked shocked and an excited smile fell on her lips

"Of course ! Of course! Please call him forward" my mum gestured to people in the background

People began moving out of the way , I could hear girls squealing and sighing .

Then out came , a tall , pale ravenette . Dressed in a dashing dark blue gown , a sword occupied his sheath and he was indeed dashingly handsome

He came forward , his eyes falling onto me ,   a blush creeping onto my face

"Y/N ? This is my son Im Jaebum " the man spoke

Jaebum quickly intervened "You may call me JB , your Highness" he bowed towards me , My mother clicked her tongue "Don't call her with honorifics, You may call her Y/N my dear" she placed a hand behind my back and pushed me forward

Almost stumbling onto him , he steadied me .

His smile was beautiful for sure , I tried not to look at him directly in the eyes

"We will be right back , please do come up with your answers!" My mum tapped my back and walked off with the couple

We Both looked at each other awkwardly and shyly , "I'm sorry If my parents inconvenienced you" he spoke up "Not at all , besides its not wasting my time at all since I've met such a handsome- I mean !! I met new people!" I stammered

A huge smile adorned his face "You think I'm handsome Princess?" He took my hand in his and I burned up

"Well I'm sure everyone does! Look at you ..." I wanted to face palm myself but I just kept my gaze down

"Well the truth is Princess , I asked my parents to ask for your hand for me," he rubbed his thumb over my knuckles

"Its because I've liked you for a while now and I've finally took a stance , I am getting older and I would like a Queen" he looked  at me , his eyes were enticing

"Is that really true?" I blushed , maybe I'm like this cause I haven't really spoken to guys , handsome ones at that too

He nodded his head .

"So will you marry me Y/N?"
