You waited outside of the theatre room with Judy as Jim stepped forward to find your best friend. Plato had previously ran inside the room carrying a gun that he had found from his mother's room. All three of you were very worried.
You could hear faint voices as you waited patiently to see if Jim could lead Plato out of the room. You stood for a couple more minutes until finally both the boys came out of the room to greet you and Judy.
Plato still had the gun but had tucked it away out of harms reach.
"Plato, would you like to go outside? Everyone is waiting for you." Jim said, placing a hand on Plato's shoulder.
Plato shook his head short and sharply as he took a few steps back.
You reached out to take Plato's hand, slowly leading him towards the door. Plato reconsidered the offer and started to walk forward, Jim and Judy following close behind.
When you got to the door, Jim stepped forward and creaked the heavy door open to reveal cops and police men waiting with flashing bright lights. Plato winced a bit and started to back away.
"Turn off the lights! Please, Plato doesn't like them." Jim called to the officers.
"You heard the man, turn your lights off." All their lights went out and Plato took a step outside. Gun in hand now.
"The kids got a gun, turn your lights on!"
"No! Stop! Turn the lights off!" Yelled Jim but it was too late.
Plato ran forward, you and Judy grabbing at the blood red jacket Jim had given him, forcing the boy back.
A shrill gun shot was heard and everything went black.
