                                                            Prologue

A scream echoed all around the ward as a blond haired man laid still in his bed, blue eyes searching the dark for an escape, an escape from the torture and the monstrosity of the nurses and doctors of the hospital. Apart from the screaming, the only other thing that could be heard was the ticking of a clock in the distance

Tick

Thomas' left eye twitched at the noise as it disturbed his train of thought.

Tick

The ticking noise slowly grew louder as he rolled onto his side to face the padded wall.

Another tick and another scream echoed louder into the night as Thomas remained trapped inside the confines of his mind. His thoughts and opinions trapped inside his head, voice no longer strong enough to be able to pull words together and string a coherent sentence, neither would people wait to listen long enough to hear his pleads.

'Help... help me. Mom, I don't want to be here! Help...'

Thomas closed his dull eyes as silent tears crept out from behind his eyelids.

'I'm not crazy.'
