My Princess finally awakes after two hours.

Me: Are you okay?

En: Feeling much better.

Me: Great.

En: Did I sleep on your shoulder the whole time?

Me: Yeah.

En: Does it ache?

Me: No way, you're too light. You are only like, 48kg?

En: 49kg

Me: That's severely underweight. Why are you so light?

En: Stop it. There's nothing wrong with being light right?

Me: Too light.

He's teasing me again. He always says that I am too light. I mean, what's wrong with being light? Nothing wrong right?

The stomach pains just now? They were not as bad as my usual gastritis. Something's not right. Then all of a sudden I feel nauseous. I make a dash to the toilet.

En, you're really too light. 

She sits on my lap, gazing into my eyes. Then all of a sudden, she covers her mouth and dashes to the toilet

Me: En, are you okay?

En: No!

I rush to the toilet, only to find En bending over the toilet bowl, puking badly.

I think she really is.

En: Elvin, stop standing there. Get me some meds.

Me: What meds can stop puking? I don't know!

En: Just find something. Okay, nevermind. The puking has stopped.

Me: En, are you...

En: I think so. 

Me: Can you do a test or you wanna just go to the doctor? 

En: I think straight to the doctor with me.

1 hour later

Doctor: Congrats, you guys are going to become parents. Rui En is 8 weeks pregnant.

Me: Thank you. Yes!

Rui En flashes me a small smile. I look at her, smiling to myself

When we exit the clinic she flashes me her signature blackface. I look at her, thinking hard.

Me: Aren't you happy?

En: Yes, but I'm just not showing it. I'll have to deal with all the pain while you get the joy.

Me: Haha. Bear with it.

Then I remember that I have recently signed a project and filming starts next week. It is too late to replace, isn't it?

Shucks.

It's an action drama.

Well, mild action. 

And Elvin is not filming the drama.

A panic attack starts in my head.

Then he brings the topic up.

Elvin: Darling, what about your filming? You have some action scenes.

Me: I think I'll be able to manage just as long as there is no blow to my abdomen area and my bump can be hidden.

Elvin: Who are the rest of the casts?

Me: Paige, Felicia, Andie, Ge Ping 大哥, Han Wei 大哥, Li Ping 姐. I think that's all.  Li Ping 姐 plays my mum, Ge Ping 大哥 plays my dad, Han Wei 大哥 my lover,  Paige my Best friend, Andie my older brother, Felicia my older sister. All of us have quite a number of action scenes.

Elvin: I can leave you in the hands of your fellow casts without worrying because of your partner in crime, your good friend and your martial arts trainer are part of the cast.

Me: Hey! That doesn't give you an excuse not to visit me while I am on set!

Elvin: I know. Don't! Hey.

I gave him a jab on the shoulder.

Elvin: Do we inform the whole world?

Me: Why not? It's going to spread like wildfire soon. I'm 2 months into it now and by the time I reach 9 months in 7 months time, it will be Star Awards and obviously...

Elvin: Everyone will know.

Me: That's right. So we must well let the news out.

Elvin: Anything for you my Queen.

Elvin leans over and plants a kiss on my cheek. I grin at him.

1 week later

Andie: En, congrats.

Me: Thanks.

Director: Do you need a stunt double to do your fight scenes? 

Me: I'm good.

Li Ping: Good to see you back in the studio again. It has been a long time since we last worked together. I have been tasked to take care of you...

Me: By Elvin? Thank you very much and I hope he is not here to spy on me. I only asked him for a lunch date.

Paige: But there he is...

Me: What? [Rolls eyes]

Paige: I think he's just really concerned for you...

Me: Sure. 

Ge Ping: Congrats En.

Me: Thanks?

Felicia: Omy. Congrats En! 

Me: Thanks......

Elvin: En, how does it feel to be the centre of attention?

Me: Terrible.

I give him one of my signature smacks.

He grins.

Director: Cut! Good take. 收工了！

Paige: Finally. This director always overruns. We were supposed to end 2 hours earlier.

Me: Do you need a lift home? I could ask Elvin to pick you.

Paige: No thanks. I'll go home myself. I have my car.

My phone rings, its Elvin.

Elvin: Have you finished?

Me: Yep! Are you going to head over and pick me now?

Elvin: Sorry Darling. Something cropped up with my parents. I can't leave.

Me: It's fine. I'll find a way. Have fun!

Paige: Hey, En, you need a ride?

Me: Is it convinient, I don't want to trouble you......

Paige: No problem, get in!

I get in and smile at Paige.

She drops me home.

I thank her and walk to the door and open it.

Elvin opens the door.

Elvin: Welcome home my queen.

Me: Don't be absurd. I'm really tired and I'm no queen.

Elvin: Okay. 辛苦你了.

He leads me into the house with his arm protectively around my waist.
