The Fourth Amendment states that a law enforcement cannot barge their way through without a warrant.

This is important to know because if police want in your house or they want files from your laptop, you can say no until they have a warrant.

The Amendment would be used today if they were investigating a stolen car and they noticed a similar car pull into your garage, when they ask to see the car you can either go and take them to the garage or you can ask for a warrant.
