Tonight was the big night.

The talk with Tony was nothing entirely short of two awkward people trying to fix whatever issues you may have had, but it did somehow manage to work. You both had agreed to start talking and working together again, but before you left he had asked you out on yet another date and, you agreed.

You now had an official date with the Starkster himself.

"So," Steve began as he leaned against your dresser, "round two?"

You chuckled and started shuffling your clothes in and out of your drawers. This time things were going to be different, and it wasn't just going to be about sexual advances.

"Yeah, I know but it's going to be different this time Stevie," you reassured trying to find your blue skirt to complete your outfit.

"Different how (Y/N)?" He snapped. You stopped rustling through your drawer and looked to him. He realized how aggressive and rude he sounded and quickly looked away from you, trying to hide his shame.

"You really don't want me going out with him, huh?"

"I don't want to make your decision for you (Y/N) I'm just. . ."

"Worried?" He nodded his head. Walking over to him and leaning against your dresser beside him.

"Look. I want to be supportive of you I do but I just know how he gets and if he's cheated before he's bound to do it again."

"Steve we weren't in a real relationship before," he shook his head, "and besides wasn't he on a 'break' with Pepper? Nobody was cheated on, Steve."

"Maybe that's just what he wants you to believe," he mumbled. You stood up from your dresser and continued to look for your blue skirt, and Steve began to help.

"Here," he said, handing you the skirt. You took it and slipped it on overtop of your fishnet tights.

"Steve," you began, staring at yourself in the mirror trying to pinpoint any errors in your outfit.

"Hmm?" He hummed, walking over to you with a golden heart pendant.

"I remember you asking me if I was falling in love with Tony, the last time we did this." He stood behind you and cocked an eyebrow.

"Did I?" You nodded and smoothed out your skirt.

"And I never gave you an answer." He started putting the pendant around your neck, moving your hair and letting the little heart gently fall to the center of your chest.

"Well?" He asks, waiting for an answer as he finishes clasping the necklace. You finished removing any wrinkles from your outfit and turn around to face him, but Steve looked at the ground.

"Steve, look at me," You gently place your fingertips under Steve's chin and and gazed into his ice blue eyes. "I know that I've been hurt before but what happened between Tony and I is in the past. We both agreed to forgive and forget, to start a new chapter in our lives and move on."

You sighed, "I get that you're worried about me but, I can handle this." Steve simply nods and you remove your hands from his doll face, smiling as the both of you admire yourselves in the mirror.

"Alright," he chuckled, "have fun then. If Tony does something stupid, again, please call me." You playfully rolled your eyes and grabbed your purse from your bed, and Steve handed you your phone.

"Of course wonder boy," you teased, "I'll see you later."

Walking out of your room and down the hall you met up with your date for the night. You walked into the common area, tucking a bit of hair behind you ear and holding your handheld purse close.
