There were no more nails left in Swara's carefully manicured hand. She had never been this nervous before in her life. But now, when she knew, Sanskar Maheshwari would actually be at her door step any minute, she felt like screaming. She was questioning her decision of obliging, when he said he will teach her. She had her doubts that he was just doing it all out of pity but he had been trying to reassure that he was not. She loved to believe he was being genuine and so she did. But at this moment when she was just a bundle of nerves, she couldn't help but question it.

Swara's parents were away on work and she was alone at home as she sent away all the servants too, which was a relief as there won't be a raise of unwanted questions. She had cleaned the entire house herself, something she had never done before because she didn't want Sanskar to assume she was messy. She even tried out some cooking and ended up with a decent pasta. She was all ready.

Still, when the calling bell rang, it took the best of her abilities not to pretend that there was no one home and not opening the door. But the realisation that it could probably end up being the biggest mistake of her life stopped her and she took a deep breath, before she opening up the door for him.

Sanskar could barely keep his mouth shut as he took her house in awe. It was at least a five times larger than his' and extremely luxurious. Scratch that all, the living room enough was bigger than his whole house. It was shining but not as much as the maiden of the house herself.

Swara looked like she came  straight out of a fashion magazine, with her elegant clothing and silky smooth hair. Is this how high class people dress at home or was she just wearing it because he was coming? He hoped it was the second before smiling and following her inside.

Swara seemed enthusiastic and nervous at the same time. She gave him a small tour of the house blabbering nonstop about the art and craft  of the house and he unapologetically tuned out after a while. It was definitely not his cup of tea. But his attention was back to her when they entered her room.

From the purple coloured walls where the pictures of her favourite bands rocked to the dozen teddy bear on the bed, it was super girly and he couldn't help but chuckle seeing it. The fact that the room was not messy at all caught his attention and he couldn't help but be impressed.

"This is my haven." She declared with an embarrassed smile.

"It's beautiful." He commented making her light up. His eyes studied every nook and corner of the room and as he said it was indeed beautiful. But one thing, he felt like missing.

Books.

There were none excluding her study materials which came as a big shock to him.  If someone comes to his room, all they will see would be books. But in here, nothing.

"What are you looking for?" She asked clearly noticing his actions.

"There are no books." He said honestly.

"Isn't these books?" She pointed at her  text books raising her eyebrows curiously.

"I don't mean those. I meant real books. Novels." He explained.
