Chapter 9

Sometimes we find our selfs scared to try new things, wether it's a new food a hobbie a sport or skydiving, it's hard to convince our selfs to just do it

But for me it's falling in love. it's like after you've been broken so many times by a person you think you love, you end up not knowing what love is...

And when I know Danny is going to ask me to be his girlfriend, I'm not sure how much of a risk I'll take for that....

I layed on the hammock in the backyard lightly swinging while admiring the clouds above

"Hey" Danny came from behind and took a spot next to me

"Hi" I smile

We swing for a bit in silence

"Bonnie" Danny broke the silence

"How come you never mention anything about your parents?"

I took a deep breath

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to" Danny reassures

"No it's okay, I think you should know" I bit the inside of my lip

"Well me and my mum never really got along.." I start

"We were always getting into fights and yelling at each other, and then my dad would join in and we would just argue all time" I sigh

"But don't worry there was never any physical violence" I add

"And with all this fighting, my parents ended up getting divorced and mum would always remind me it was my fault, she started drinking more and yelling more"

Danny started to rub circles into my back

"And then one day I decided that was enough so I left, I didn't runaway I guess, I sat down with my mother and told her that I can't stand this fighting and I was going to live with Alli, so she let me go" I sighed

"Don't get me wrong i would always love my mother and father, even if we have all cut ourselfs out from each others lives, I would still give her a kidney if she needed one" I explain

"But for now were all just a shadow in a busy city to each other" I sigh

"So when did you move in with alli?" Danny asks

"Last year when I was 15" i said

"Your such a strong girl" Danny nodded to himself

"Well enough of this deep and meaningful shit, wonna go somewhere?" I stand up

Danny nods and we walkabout the back fence and just stroll along to places

"Okay there something I really need to ask you now" Danny stops by a lake and takes both my hands in his hands

I look up at him waiting for him to continue

"Will you, bonnie rose, be my girlfriend?" Danny bites his lip

I look at him for a second letting it all sink in then a little smile appears at the corner of my mouths

I start nodding before the words 'yes' came out of my mouth

I hug him and have him a kiss

We continued out walk hand in hand for the res of the afternoon
