Chapter 4

Nyra's POV

OUT OF NOWHERE a tree branch hits me straight in the face and knocks we to the ground.

I am currently running away from someone in where I think is Beacon Hills reserve.

Last night I was kidnapped by some people, while I was sleeping.

They couldn't be vampires because they can't get in my house unless they are invited, and they couldn't be werewolves because if they were then they would have caught me by now.

Plus I knocked two of them unconscious. Unfortunately, there were more people waiting by the van.

Since my dad and the rest of the crew were out hunting, I thought why not take my chances here.

A powerful howl echoed throughout the forest and I hastily picked my self up again.

It was most likely the alpha.

I kept running while steadying my breath, so that I could conserve my stamina.

I then stopped, with my back against a tree and I try to listen to the sounds around me. I wanted to make sure I lost them.

A branch broke and a huge black figure shows up from behind me and shoves me to the ground. It's too big to be a human and what really gave it away was the red eyes.

I felt a stinging pain in my left arm

I get up groaning in pain and look at my wrist.

I gasp in horror at the sight in front of me.

It was a deep claw mark.

I knew the risk of getting a deep scratch from an alpha.

I prayed to god that I wouldn't turn into a werewolf, because if I did, I would have to kill myself, with the Argent honor code and all.

I looked around hoping that the alpha left me alone.

I catch a glimpse at the moon and notice that its full.

I'm so stupid.

I should've thought about the risk of running into the alpha instead of my father.

We'll i'm literally being chased and survived a kidnapping so far. I'll just blame it on that.

I look around once more, hoping that I could find a way out of the reserve.

I squint my eyes hoping to get a better view around since I don't have my glasses.

In the distance, I make out a burnt house.

I start running towards it as fast as I could, knowing that it was the Hale house.

I enter and close the door quietly.

I figured that I should spend the night here since the people who kidnapped me were looking for me.

I walk around looking at the now unfamiliar interior of the Hale house.

I frown as I spot a picture of me and Derek in perfect condition.

I pick it up and notice that the Hale house was in the background prior to the fire.

What I didn't notice was someone sneaking up on me.

I felt a sudden stinging sensation in my head, and fall to the floor as my vision starts to fade.

I look up as an unfamiliar face bends down by me, then everything went black.
