He was damned and menacing,
What a mess, I had thought,
The aura of a demon,
A smile of a safe haven,
They had said it could cure a broken heart,
Whilst his appalling nature would arouse dread,
Adonis, some would say,
Feared by all, loved by none,
The sound of his name made them cower,
Yet his intensifying gaze had lured me in,
Warmth was held between the emeralds, while darkness masked the hollow,
The burning desire,
For his sadness had sparked my insanity,
I was a fool for the devils hold.
